No prob. LSU now has a car note that pays Mr Lazy $800k per month for 72 months.

I know in Kelly’s mind he has at some point had the thought that he can’t believe those hicks fell for funding my entire retirement package after three years. Now

You think LSU is just gonna let him coast?

I'm sure BK’s agent, or his agents secretary or the secretary’s intern will keep a very detailed and extensive list of all the calls made on BK’s behalf to provide to LSU anytime they send a legal demand requesting proof of a job search.

The school says it will pay the required buyout - $54M over 6 years - as long as Kelly meets his obligation to find another job.

Meaning he’ll make a phone call once a month to someone who’s guaranteed to not hire him.

“See? I’m looking.”

What a fricking scam artist.

which brings up another point

does his contract have a death/disability clause?

what if he has a stroke and has to give up coaching? does LSU say, “tough shite, we’re not paying you another dime”?

Football related media jobs count too, not just coaching.

He’s got all the charisma of a wet mop. Nobody’s gonna hire that dick in a media capacity.

Has to be fair market value.
whats the fair market value for a 64 year old coach who failed spectacularly at “the best job in CFB” despite being given every possible resource to succeed?

I’m guessing its gonna be considerably less than you are speculating

LSU has effectively damaged his reputation by claiming that he is lazy and unmotivated

Uhhh, Kelly did that to himself. People have eyes and know a slacker when they see one.

so who’s gonna hire a 64-year-old slacker to run their football program?

and how much do you think they’ll pay him?

I'd be shocked if any big P5 program wants BK after seeing how lazy he was at LSU.

Or maybe he could explain that he was being micro managed by a PR pinhead in Woodward, and dealing with La politics isn’t a game he wanted to play. There are 49 other states that are better at us at literally everything. I tend to believe most of the people running sports admins will take BKs word for it that he mailed it in because he was dealing with unserious people.

Nobody. He’s only gonna make token attempts to look for a job to “fulfill his end of the bargain”.

And I tend to believe they’re going to see through that as an excuse. True professionals don’t mail it in for any reason.

He failed so spectacularly to two 10 wing seasons a third 9 win season, an SEC West title and a Heisman trophy winner.

I understand this year was a massive disappointment and much of it is on Kelly, but people are revisionist if they are saying his term was a disaster. This season has been bad, but he is actually a good coach.

It just wasn’t going to work long term here.
