Sexton agreed to terms early this week. Sexton got a better offer from FSU. Now he's silent.

And they say the man has no enemies.

I mean do you get to play do overs after an agreement?

What the hell kind of negotiating is that?

I'd burn every darn bridge with Sexton if he doesn't deliver jimbo after all.

So FSU is going to give Jimbo a second increase in 11 months reaching Saban type numbers?

College football is out of control....

Soon 10 million will just be the new standard for a winning coach

at some point, the greed being used to make universities pony up is going to catch up with coaches..

sounds great on paper but Miles would never agree to that. He's proven that over time by over ruling offensive coordinators. Plus would still make calls on gameday im sure. Would be embarrassing for him not to.

Then he needs to go, what has been proven is that he isn't willing to adjust to the game, he still thinks his wear out the other team by running it right at them will work. This is why with the exception of Met's last year and 2011 (when we could actually do that) we sucked on offense.

Im not discrediting ur 'source'. U just need to understand how assinine it sounds to let miles return with a new oc.

1. We have been down that road multiple times w him. It doesnt work
2. The AD wont be able to enforce a 'hands off the offense' policy w miles bc he is still the HC in that scenario.

Just too unbelievable to be true. Also wouldnt think the outcome of a game vs a mediocre TAMU will impact any decision one way or the other. I never thought we were getting jimbo...but, while i dont have sources, id bet we arent keeping miles either.

The Unoversity isn't putting up all that money... Doners and TV (SECN) deals are.

Miles staying on would be a disaster with horrendous results as happened at Texas with the Mack Brown fiasco. How can you hire top assistants or sign top players when they know the head coach is on such shaky ground? Seems like even if it isn't Jimbo, LSU has to move on from Miles. Keeping Miles at this point is the worst of all possible choices.

I'm wondering if the Eagles will wait till the end of their season. Or possibly if Chip just jumps ship.

All this talk about the OC, but what about replacing fricking Kevin Steele? That dude has been terrible at every stop. He needs to go more than Cameron IMO.

I just hope this whole Jimbo falling through doesn't make us end up with a subpar coach. Id imagine we can bring someone good in.

Jimbo was the play and always has been. Again, I don't know what happened today. Hopefully I'll know more soon. Take it with a grain of salt if you want with what I've been saying the past week.
