Kelly was supposed to be the oline guru. They sucked
OL "Guru's" don't keep OL coaches like Brad Davis on their staff unless there's some "Libtard Political Shenanigans" going.

Ever wonder why BK's OL Coach at Notre Dame (Quinn) didn't follow him to LSU?

Woodward, the Libtard Wokester killed it.

Good riddance to the Sylvester protector.

Sloan is very familiar with our team’s strengths and weaknesses
With the turnover in this roster I don't think Sloan is going to be providing much insight.

He's going to be familiar with Baker's schemes and tendencies.

Is this a joke? Sloan had plenty of time to gameplan for our opponents and his offense exploited jack shite

No, it's not a joke. Sloan will have familiarity with Baker's defensive tendencies.

And let's be honest- when he was at LSU, I don't think he knew what he was supposed to be doing. Kelly wasn't contributing much.

At Kentucky, they're going to be running Will Stein's offense, and he's going to be involved in calling things. This makes him similar to Charlie Weis Jr, as we all understand Weis is running Kiffin's offense.

So yeah, I think Sloan knowing Baker's tendencies can be a problem in that game. Stein is going to pick his brain on what Baker does, and STEIN will be the guy designing plays to counteract that.

We must be talking about two different Joe Sloans then. The Joe Sloan at LSU I remember didn’t develop shite at QB. Every QB on that LSU roster was arse. And Sloan did not develop JD5. JD5 developed himself with his ridiculous work ethic. I’d give Denbrock more credit than any other coach as far as helping JD5.

Where does his reputation as a good QB coach come from?

It seems Sloan got a lot of credit for JD5, when it’s been clear for a while that much of that was his own work and effort not so much Sloan.

This is where it comes from and it's bullshite.

Well, it was pretty clear Sloan was in over his head at LSU.

I think this is a good move for him. He's not going to have to create the offense, that's gonna be Stein doing that. He has to run it. That's a step back from what he did here, a lot less on his plate.

Now how he does against Baker is anyone's guess. They were coordinators on the same team for 2 years, so he's going to be familiar with Baker's philosophy. But will Baker have a better line and linebackers? And will Kentucky have guys who can take advantage of what's there?

He might keep calling plays and running his system.

What I saw immediately after hiring is that Sloan was going to call plays, but that may change after Stein sees that in action

He isn’t calling plays or designing the offensive system.

That's good for Kentucky then.
