I was really stunned that they flew the family in through Ryan. You pretty well have to go through Beruit at bumper to bumper traffic speed to get to campus from there.

It’s said that they spent six hours touring BR. My guess is that 5.5 of that was spent in traffic praying for no stray bullets.

Cane Sauces tell me Verge is flying incognito from MSY as I type, with contract in hand. Stay tuned.

It could be Matt Bowers. He is a big Ole miss booster. I believe he lives in Mandeville.

Looks like his plane “N773MB” already landed in Oxford from Hammond.

I've never figured out the draw.

Hammond was very popular with Carlos Marcello because it was close enough to New Orleans but not New Orleans. Smaller town, easy to get around, less places for the Feds to be lurking.

My source tells me they’ll use Barry Seals’ landing strip in east BR.

Just how common is it for Cessnas and other nice jets to fly in and out of places like Hammond or Gonzales?

I can’t speak for Gonzales but I know the Hammond airport is bigger and is the main hub for corporate types with private jets when any kind of a big event is going on in New Orleans. During the Super Bowl there was probably over a hundred private jets parked at the Hammond Airport.
