Yeah. O didn't have a game full of clock and timeout management issues vs Bama.

How hard is it to have a discussion about him?
Body of work. Ok. Why are the big wins so impressive and the bad losses blown off?
Interviews?. Really?
Other coaches. That's relevant. I haven't read much about that. I'd be interested in that.

I hear that he is going to be a superstar, but I don't hear why.

I am fine with having him, but I'd like to have a discussion with some level of substance.

Based on that one play from the article? How many Houston games have you watched this year? How many clock management issues has he had?

I honestly think we will improve under all 3 of the serious candidates. My dream scenario is Hernan as HC with Coach O on the staff being paid a great salary.

He has succeeded at every stop he's been at.

He's not perfect, but no coach -- ever -- has been.

Oh, it's not worthless. Texas has lost their target. Now they and sympathetic reporters will start throwing shade to lessen the impact. LSU has Herman.

I was just judging it on its content, not any potential ulterior motives but I see what you mean.

Don't take it out on the messenger, take it up with Fox. Fox Sports reported that clock management issues have been a problem for Herman's teams all year. I haven't watched Herman coach all year, so I have no info on this but they obviously have!

I hear that he is going to be a superstar, but I don't hear why.

He had historically productive offenses at Iowa State and fricking Rice of all places. Led three different QBs and three different offenses in one season at Ohio State en route to a national title run. He's beaten 3 top 10 P5 teams in the last calendar year.

Let's not act like people are just brushing off the 3 losses this year. There have been at least 1000 threads bashing him for it... But people conveniently will not mention that Jimbo lost to him and has also had his share of disappointing losses at FSU. Do we need to being up Saban losing to both UAB and ULM? O's losses to Wake and Wyoming and twice to Vandy? Every coach loses disappointing games, especially when you are at a school that doesn't lend itself to recruiting quality depth at the level of an LSU type program.

Aranda was quoted a couple years back that Herman was the guy he leans on for advice on how to stop different innovative offenses. The guy is a savant and the future of college football. And he is without question our best potential hire

You said his clock management skills resembled Les miles, maybe even worse, which the article never mentioned, so I'll take it up with you.

I've been trying to get any Herman supporter to give a thoughtful analysis about why he is the guy

He is responsible for the decline of Les Miles and ultimately getting him fired.

He has only been a HC two years. The first year made his reputation---the team was the previous coach's recruits and he went 11-1.

With one year of his own recruits he goes 9-3.

Is there any evidence he can compete with the SEC coaches on recruiting?? Of course not.

They don't have to mention Les Miles, LSU fans are professionals when it comes to recognizing clock mismanagement skills, a problem all year long for Miles when he was coach. Fox Sports reports - Hermans clock management have been a problem all year.

You do see the similarities?
