Not true. I heard the same thing. Miles peed(no pun intended) some powerful peeps off early in the search process. Heard he was gone in the next couple years. Buyout is just to big. I did not think Cam was the answer they were pursuing for a head coach in waiting, though.

Not that I disagree but saying he wants to keep working long days until all of his kids are finally old and moved out of the house doesn't really make sense. If coaches retire because of their kids it's to spend more time with them. Not to wait til they are all old enough to be in college and moved out of the house
Miles is active, and his wife was an athlete too- they would be very young for their age. And he's made plenty enough money to be able to afford whatever they want to do.

Les Miles looks like a guy with a plan. Hope it works out for everyone. LSU first.

sted by BigTiger80I am as sick as many of you of the posters who say they have sources who claim to know who is coming here and we find out it is completely untrue.
However today an insider, and this guy really is an insider, told me that he knows who Miles is hiring and how I feel about Miles is going to completely change. This person is not a bull shiter. Naturally he got my attention but he refused to tell me who the new DC will be.
A while later I learned from another inside source who Miles is hiring. I went back to my first source and he admitted that it is the same person.
Fast forward, I check this site out and I see this thread about Hanny. Comments such as he has done a 180, his attitude is completely different than yesterday, etc. Seeing these comments fall right in line with who I learned will be the new DC. If you knew what Hanny does you would be fired up too.
If this is indeed true, we are going to shock the college football world with this hire. If you knew who it is, I am highly confident you would be blown away. I truly believe after seeing the names bandied about here since Chavis left, that an extremely high percentage of you would take him over pretty much everyone else mentioned. If this goes down, I can assure you the posters from the other schools who have been on here ridiculing us, will be eating their words. I GUARANTEE if this comes to fruition, we will have the last laugh.
I'm sure I will get blasted by some of you for posting this but these are solid sources. I hope to God they are right because if they are, we will be the talk of the college football world that day, our off season will be night and day compared to the mood in Tiger Nation now and we all will be looking forward to the first kickoff.
You have no idea who this person is but you are going to be highly impressed. Heck, I would have never guessed who this coach is. I am critical of Miles but if he pulls this off, I will do a 180 like Hanny.
I know what I know. He doesn't know what I know. He just thinks he knows what I know, but he doesn't know that I know he thinks he knows what I know.
Come Monday, he'll know that he didn't know what I knew all along. He'll just think he knew and still won't know what I knew when he thought he knew.

Yes, but how do you know?

And how do you know that he doesn't know what you know you know?

If Miles makes a good hire, and has a good year, Miles will leave on his own terms.

you say this:

then this:

So he is better than everybody mentioned but nobody knows who the frick he is?

Fisrt, you make it sound like he is a big name coach with a great resume'.

You have no idea who this person is but you are going to be highly impressed
Then, you make it sound like it's gonna be a no-name coach with an insanely great resume'. (Or are you saying he is a big name coach so far off our radar we currently have no idea who it is?)
EYE IZ KONFUZED.
