They are giving ultimatums to coaches.

They needed an answer - LSU needed one too. It’s an “ultimatum” for all parties.

I don’t see how this is OM’s fault at all. They don’t want to miss out on their next coach this cycle and punt an entire year.

Lane also didn’t have to make this a public spectacle and send his family on fricking “official visits” to towns they have been to 100 times and maybe this could have worked out like Debouer leaving Washington

Ole Miss isn't winning a championship. They played 2 of the top 7 teams in the SEC this season. They are a fraud 11-1 team, much like Texas A&M.

Wait we just hired a coach that's been the head of a fraudulent team? Why would we hire that head coach?

You phaggots can't even think straight, can you?

Jesus.

No…no they don’t. They have a birth to the playoffs. They aren’t winning anything, even if LK is coaching them.

LK knows this. We know this. Delusional OM fans think they’d win it all.

You do know that now they will have to pay for his buyout?

Act like an adult. Let him coach his players and in return a commitment not to recruit any high school commitments nor accept any transfers from the current roster. OM has behaved abysmally--not giving a single shite for the current team with their ego driven bullshite.

Nothing. Not one thing.

Lane coaching OM thru to playoffs does not do a single positive damn thing for LSU. Not one. So if OM acts stupidly, antagonizes the whole staff and team, and forces Lane into a full time LSU coach immediately, all the better!

This is a ludicrous take. There is a real possibility that the CFP committee will rank them lower without Kiffin especially if he takes some of his staff with him. If Ole Miss truly has their sights on a championship, they'd want him and his entire staff coaching them in the playoffs. From the outside, it looks alot more to me like they're trying to take their ball and go home.

What's naive about it? It's actually ethical behavior. There's not a lot of overlap in recruiting and not taking transfers (for a year) is the way it should work.

Its not the way it does work. LSU would never in a million years let a coach who accepted a job at A&M or Alabama, etc. coach out the season. Its insane to expect that Ole Miss would.

The atmosphere on the team would be horrendous, even setting aside the obvious tampering with roster, recruits, and staff that would be going on.
