Probably a 2.
I’m not sure what’s real and what’s not in regards to information being posted. So I can’t get worked up about things that may or may not be true.
Also there’s a trend where overpaying coaches doesn’t really pan out.
Tom Herman and Lincoln Riley both come to mind.

Seems like a good fit to me at LSU but if he doesn’t feel the same way then no sense in crying as there seriously are other great coaches lining up. Much of the emotion is about expectations and media buildup. I’m confident we will get a great coach.

No melt ; he is still to immature as a person at this point

1. My hopes are never high when LSU is involved and 2019 Burrow et al blew my mind but know it won’t happen all that often

For the first few minutes, probably 4-5. I’d like to have him as our coach.
But if we went out and hired Dillingham, immediately 0. I’m all in on Dilly Dilly! If Lane goes elsewhere.

1 - zero melt for missing out on Kiffin.
I want to qualify this, I think he is the best available coach and he is my preference. However, I still think there are several great options out there to not reset the market. Eric Morris, Rhett Lashlee, Golesh, Clark Lae, Joey McGuire. Most of these guys you could get an under 6 mil and have the ability to thoroughly vet and interview rather than spearing a big whale that is more interviewing us.
That said, I think I will melt if we get Drink. melt level 6

No melt, but it’d be pretty cool if he did.
My melt would be that we’re missing out on an amazing Ole Miss melt.
So maybe a 2
