LSU will NOT hire Napier
Wanna bet? If Riley declines, it's Napier.

Kind of like when they passed on spurrier

But if Florida offers him, no one could blame him for going ahead and accepting.
Blame him?!?! He’s the HC at freaking ULL!!! He’d have to be brain dead not to accept. I don’t understand your whole angle with this “you can’t blame him” crap. You act as if he’s coaching Miami or something and is contemplating somewhat of a lateral move based on money. HE’S THE COACH AT ULL. ANY power 5 school would be a step up.

Nope, O has that honor

No it will not. Napier is the biggest risk of any of the candidates.
Success at a lower level G5 does not necessarily translate to success in the SEC. Certainly not at a program that expects Championships like Florida, LSU, UGA, Bama, Auburn and Tennessee.
Hiring a coach who has never even won the f’n Sun Belt Championship isn’t stealing from LSU nor in any sense a gaffe by not hiring him.

So you’re saying you’d take BN over Dave Aranda?
Let Napier slip away and we will end up with Steve Spurrier happening 2.0

LSU should give Riley until Noon next Sunday to accept. If he does not, for any reason, then LSU should announce Napier or Aranda on Sunday evening. Press conference with the new coach at Noon on Monday. If Florida wants to jump the gun and hire Napier before then, then so be it. LSU then hires Aranda if Riley balks.

Which is something made up here. He did fine at LSU and Baylor's class is in line with where they usually are. Comparing Aranda to Mullen is just ridiculous.

No. It won’t.
Hudson was.

The list of successful G5 head coaches that crashed and burned once they got a Power 5 job is a lot longer than the list of ones that ended up being successful.
Satterfield, Norvell, Frost, Herman, Fuente, etc. All successful G5 coaches, all failures as P5 head coaches.

Anybody here ever talk to Napier? Steve was quite charismatic on top of being a great coach.
Remember half this job is making you dotards feel good.

I agree. The Napier situation reminds me a lot of Chad Morris
