If Lane stays at Ole Miss after all this

Does that remove him from any future consideration at LSU for the HC spot?

removes him from future consideration everywhere. no other team wants to deal with this shite

I don't know about that but this I do know:
A chance at a NC happens every season
The opportunity to lead a school like LSU - not so much
I assume LK is weighing the balance of his balance

Yeah this is his last shot because whoever hire this time will be here for a long time unless they bolt for the NFL. LSU is all in

Whatever the result of all of this, this whole saga will be part of his legacy. Good or bad. Teams would have to take that into consideration. But all anyone wants is to win football games and most are willing to put up with an awful lot to do so. Only when you start losing does morality come into the equation.

This take assumes that everything you’ve heard on Tiger droppings is reality when the truth is almost none of it is.

I think it does, but probably not for the reasons you are implying. If he stays and gets over the hump, there’s no reason for him to jump to another school. If he hasn’t gotten over the hump after 10+ year at Ole Miss (the timeline at the earliest LSU might be looking again), he’ll no longer be a hot commodity.

Most likely yes it will.

Just like Brian Kelly and his 10 year contract
I don't care who LSU hires, if he doesn't at least make the CFP within three years the fans (and some donors) will demand he be fired...and he probably will be.
Les had the first undefeated regular season in 50 years and brought LSU to the NC game. 4 years later he was being carried off the field in his "final game". Orgeron led the best team ever to the NC. He was fired less than 2 years later. LSU was "all in" when they went big and signed Kelly to a 10 year, $100M contract. He was fired less than four seasons later despite a 34-14 record.
Yes, LSU is very patient and non-reactionary group. They would never fire their HC after only a few "bad" seasons

LSU fans burned a Saban doll in effigy, shouted "F-You Saban" nearly every time he led Alabama into TS, talk constantly about how they hate him, etc, etc....and would forget all of hate tomorrow if he agreed to be LSU's coach again.
WINNING IS ALL THAT MATTERS

I don't buy the Lane hype, but it's y'all doing all of this; not Lane.
