There is no way I would disparage Cutcliffe, I think he's a very good coach.

But no.

Cutcliffe has the best gig in college football. He does His thing,no pressure, He wins ,and nobody gives a damn.

Easily.

He's winning too much. Setting higher expectations. 7 wins and a bowl game at Duke is prime.

It is worse than that. He agreed to present a plan for how to turn things around. He keep putting off giving a plan of any kind. Season ended and our AD asked where is the plan? Cut literally blew him off. He ended up telling the AD to keep his noise out of coaching and focus on what he knew about: banking. Our AD played for Ole Miss but was never a coach. Dave didn't respect his oppinion. Pete came at him with a bunch of numbers and showed him how in many categories we were dead last. Come to find out Dave had heart failure at the time and not enough oxygen was getting to his brain.

Our defense will be good but their is another team that will have just as much talent coming back.

(What about Pep Hamilton?)

That would be a fantastic hire-but getting him away from the Colts......not sure!!

I think if miles leaves, E Orgeron gets a call. He is back in state has had had coaching experience and did a good job at USC post Kiffin.

I don't want Les to leave. However, if he does, I hope Alleva leaves with him.

It would not be a flashy hire but I think it would be a solid hire. He had success at OM and Duke of all places.

Good point about possibly being able to keep chavis.

when you think about age think about Tom Landry- Jerry Jones canned him- and how have things worked out?

Do you know how old Saban is?

How bout those young coaches? You want Sumlin ? Kiffin? how did that work out?

It is not about age but about coaching ability

The Cowboys won 3 super bowls. Quickly.
