If they end up with BK, I would laugh and laugh

Bc the whale’s agent also reps these other guys and is buying time for the whale…if it’s ANYONE who can leave now, it would have been announced. No way the AD for Penn St is this stupid…

I know that’s tongue in cheek, but not everything you read in the news cycle is quite accurate.
Penn St has too much money and too big of a brand to be just floundering like this with absolutely no leaks from their side.
Sure, Sitake could have said no, but how serious was the offer? Could have been 2 years for &100k just so he would say no all the while the actual hire is still working for his current organization/program.
Not everything has to be what it seems.

Penn state gonna have to drive down the road and pick up a state college high school football coach
They really don’t need to make this difficult. Someone has already auditioned for the part…hire him

2. They already have their man lined up. But he’s unable to take the job because he’s in the middle of some sort of playoff push, wherever that may be. NCAA or NFL.
If this was the case it would be all hush not being publicly made fun of and turned down over and over. They are making a run like they did at BYU if they had a coach.

The fact they fired a coach that made the playoffs wo any plan is perplexing. I thought maybe they had their Guy and was waiting on playoffs to finish because they were so quiet. But now it seems they didn't have a plan. Now Franklin is at VT with a top 30 rec class while Penn State sits at 166th. Id be livid if I was a PSU fan

Rumor is this guy slipped away quietly to interview with PSU.

actually in this case it kind of is. Yes penn state is a big brand and they have lots of revenue....but according to their boards and the financial statements they posted....they are financed up to their eyeballs...to the point that if they have 2 bad seasons in a row...they will be financially unstable and will not be able to make payments. The new rev share is going to really really hurt them bad and put them in a bad spot. And these were posters that said they were forensic accountants and we posting the financial statements with exact numbers, so not just pulled out the air and it was more than one poster
and yea they have a terrible AD, terrible.
from they are saying....they dont have a very good plan on NIL and lack structure big time overall in the AD and dont have a clear plan going forward.
I think that is why you are seeing so many say no thanks.

It was apparently serious enough that Sitake had to go meet with the LDS higher-ups about it. To me that says it was more than just a, "Hey, here's a bogus offer to make it look like we're doing something, go get yourself a raise," type deal.

Think of the shite you've seen just the last few years. Yes, they can absolutely be that stupid.
