Every day this drags out it puts LSU, its players, and its recruits standing there with doubt.

I’m not sure why people keep saying shite like this. What all schools have been hiring coaches that we are missing out on?

It’s projection. LSU played like complete dogshit last night and if LSU football looks like a steaming pile, then everything has a stench.

Did you expect him to immediately resign from Ole Miss as soon as Kelly was fired?

Because it’s Ole Miss. That’s the only reason why this angle worries me.

You realize teams that fired their coach before LSU still haven’t hired a new coach either. Virginia tech hired someone who wasn’t actively coaching. Most coaches want to finish out their seasons due to contract obligations and just for the players even. I wish it was official because until it is signed anything can happen, but I’m not going to be a chicken little and melt about it.

It’s not a melt. It’s a concern because we’re dealing with Ole Miss.

I still think he comes to LSU. However, Ole Miss would do anything to screw LSU over. This can’t be overlooked.

The longer the wait, the more chance florida and ole miss can sweeten their respective offers

I got slammed a few days ago for mentioning (and spelling his name wrong) that LSU better have its ducks in a row because Lane will, without a doubt, drag this on as long as he can just to hurt LSU.

You deserved to get slammed then and now. This is doing nothing to hurt LSU, the regular season isn’t over yet. If LSU doesn’t have their 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices vetted and ready to move on with, that’s on them. Suggesting anything about waiting until next weekend is hurting LSU or Florida for that matter is just next level stupid.

Isn't in Kiffin's contract to give 7 days notice in the event he's leaving? Wouldn't that be Friday at some point after the egg bowl?

All he has to do is sign the extension that was offered, and all of this is over, but he hasn’t.
