Absolute stud. His first start at QB since 8th grade was UNTs bowl game last year. Didnt start at QB n HS, walked on to UNT and is balling out.

This is how you set up the melt. Kiffin hasn't even signed anything yet and we're already planning his roster moves?

I hope Verge has a solid plan b cause I'm legit worried about some of y'all.

He’s a great advertisement for Eric Morris. Morris took him from never started for a varsity high school team to one of the best G5 qbs in the country.

Yeah, it's insane. Morris knows what he wants In a qb. I hope they at least interviewed Eric Morris. He has the offensive swag just like kiffin.

Nussmeier this season has a higher QBR (28th) than Mestemaker (29) - objectively he would be a downgrade.

yep, so we can listen to all those posters that tell us that college football today must have running qb's. Drew doesn't run!

His first order of business is to accept the job, formally.

His second order of business is to clean house of deadbeat coaches, starting with Davis.

His third order of business is to start tweeting with #sttdb

If we don't get an offensive line in an offensive line, coach could bring back Johnny Unitas from the dead and he'd be unsuccessful

Rumor is that Indiana is prepared to write Mestemaker a fat check to replace Mendoza.

Bingo! No more Qbs who cannot extend plays! Every SEC QB worth a damn can extend plays. Not his whole narrative of being mobile in the pocket bs. Make plays with your damn legs throwing or running.

North Texas and Drew hung 59 on Washington state and won 59-10.

Same team Ole Miss beat 24-21.

If he gets a true pocket passer then he will also have to get an entire new offensive line, otherwise it will just be a replay of this year.

Mestemaker leads the country in passing yards and yards per completion attempt, and is 4th in passing efficiency, 5th in passing TD's, 12th in completion %...

QBR adjusts for strength of defense...sure, he is one better than Drew, but Drew can scramble and throw a beautiful deep ball...something Nuss couldn't do this year.

Making up his damn mind. I truly believe lane doesn’t know where he wants to coach. With these negative reports coming out daily on LSU and the previous coach it can’t be a good thing. Even though I can’t even say his name destroyed this program.

Okie St just hired UNT's coach so this may already be even more of a long shot.
