We have an interim that everyone knows will not get the job. Why would a Kiffin announcement be awkward for LSU?
Because no one would be there . . . My guess is leak occurs Saturday to maximize media coverage on Game Day and throughout Rivalry weekend. Followed by an official introduction on Mon.

We’ve reported that from the beginning. LSU has a ton of resources and has promised a full utilization of those resources for Kiffin. However, LSU hasn’t been able to show Kiffin a plan for how it will take those resources and be able to turn them into actionable value (meaning NIL that would get approved by the CSC, NIL Go or whatever body ultimately makes those decisions).
I can say with 10000% certainty...this part is false. Ill just say if OM is banking on LSU just saying....we have this much NIL and no detailed plan, that is verifiable by LK representation, well then they are in for a rude awakening.
LK may very well change his mind as the article alluded to...but that part is 1000% wishful thinking on the OM side. and its not like LSU hasnt presented that to LK reps.

Haha stopped reading after plan for NIL, those dipshits need to familiarize themselves with Playfly. The NIL part is the last thing LSU will be behind on.

Shut up. Kiffin did too much damage to stay. It’s only whether he tries to stay longer than Friday. He’s not staying for ‘26

Apparently this guy has never heard of Turnkey. Roadgator says that all of this was expected and everything is going according to plans.
Turnkey is the same group that handled the aTm hiring of Elko and we all know how that shitshow went down with them pushing Stoops to aTm and the fans/boosters put the stop to that and they moved on to Elko.
Turnkey isn't some magic, super secret company. It's a 3rd party group that vets coaches based on parameters the customer gives. They also handle a lot of the legwork of getting to the finish line.
Based on how the Florida people talk, you would swear they are like the CIA or something. It's not. It's just a way for the AD to outsource the search so they can work on other stuff.

The fact that our side is awfully quiet while Florida/Ole Miss are looking at backup options tells me all I need to know.
Exactly. Look at the actions and don’t listen to the words

Chicken is getting a little feisty, things are getting real. This has been the best coaching changes board of all time

The emotional aspect of Ole Miss here is the part that I should have seen coming more. Like how could you do this to us vibes, trying to guilt and shame him into staying at an objectively worse job.

The source close to Kiffin, one who has consistently said he believed Kiffin would absolutely go to LSU, said this morning that while he still leans in that direction, “I do think there’s a chance he’s back.”
It's amazing the number of people who claim to have talked to Kiffin and gotten information relevant to this process, yet it eludes the professional journalists who develop those kinds of sources for a living.
Either the Dellinger's and the Thamel's are dropping the ball on the biggest story of the season, or the sauces are full of excrement. Gee, I wonder which of those statements is true.

It just goes to show that we are dealing with a coach with a 12 year old mentality.
This is battered wife syndrome level logic if I’ve ever seen it
So, just to be clear, the fact that Lane is keeping his decision private for the time being means that he has a 12 year olds mentality??
I’m sure he’s very sorry that his announcement didn’t coincide with your expectations. Dude should have REALLY considered your feelings before being so selfish

We're negotiating with an extremely immature person and offering him the keys to the kingdom.
You frickers act like this is an Xbox CFB26 type of decision
This is a life choice for Kiffin that will define a huge part of his legacy - the fact that some of yall are so bent out of shape about how he’s handled this says more about you and your selfish ways than it does him
Why can’t yall understand that? Yall are upset at the fact that he didn’t make a decision based on YOUR timeline and YOUR expectations
It’s crazy. What frickin planet am I on???

He’s coming to LSU.

There's quite a difference between being torn and making a decision and "making your mind up" and changing that final decision every day. That's immature as it gets.

So the Gators are either pulling off the stealthiest move of all time or they’re completely delusional.
Delusional is a more accurate description.
