If you want to keep him, you have to at least match his best offer, no?

Trust me, we're all pretty torn up that Les isn't coming to Fayetteville.

oh no....Les isn't coming..... darn... let me go spend the rest of my day in deep depression.

This is probably the first time I've ever seen both fanbases be happy that a coach isn't leaving after a supposed job offer.
Cheshire out...

Tulane's coach, or a 12 year old girl for that matter could not, if they tried, blow the games Les has. Be happy with 10 wins when any coach worth a damn would have won national titleS with that team.
But hey a 2 loss national championship team is good I guess. Even though LSU has far greater capabilities

Les isn't a good fit for Arkansas. He reaps the benefits of being in one of the most talent rich states in the country with no other BCS school competition in-state. He is an average game day coach and will always be as good as his coordinators. Arkansas needs an X's and O's guy similar to Petrino since they won't bring in the same type of athletes that we do

LSU is at a point imo we wouldn't lose a beat if he left

Did anyone seriously think he was leaving LSU for freaking arkansas? Really? They could offer 10 mill and he wouldn't make that move.. It's freaking arkansas..

i doubt you have to worry about us making a ron zook hire. i don't think alleva's gonna go hire a career st/position coach. and look at what uf did after zook left. meyer won more titles in five years than spurrier did in 10 years.

270 tells it like it is.
NWA isn't that cool of a place for young African American men, we can't recruit with the big boys.

Keep telling yourself that, the gauntlet has been thrown, the dollar amount has been shown, talk is cheap, write the check, or enjoy your rivalry with Ole Miss really meaning something year in and out...

Actually, no. I think Jeff Long has been working his arse off trying to find a single decent coach willing to join his train wreck of a football program.
Arkansas will be as successful as they were with Petrino "some day". But that someday won't be with the next guy after John L Smith. No one wants to be "that guy".
EDIT: let me clarify - no one of SEC top-tier caliber coaching ability wants to be "that guy".
