This is rich coming from an LSU fan. He has his team ranked 7th and almost a shoo-in for the playoffs. And you call that mediocre? I call that elite. And it takes a DOG to do that at Ole Miss.

Precisely. They are telling the guys they are pursuing that Lane is staying. It does not mean they're telling them the truth.

If Lane takes another job, would he coach Ole Miss in the playoffs?

pparently, kiffin will sign the Ole Miss extension after the Florida game. it'll be the cherry on top after annihilating us

But, what if he loses? Remember, OM has not soundly beat anyone and FL could beat them.

Remind me again of all those Ole Miss big wins this year?

And this is coming from an LSU fan who thinks Kiffin is a fantastic coach.

But, let’s not act like he’s ran the gauntlet this year.

We’ve played three teams ranked in the top 10 at the time we played and went 2-1.

It’s not our fault LSU, USC, Florida, and Arkansas blow arse. Lost at Georgia after leading most of the game and won at Oklahoma. I’ll take Georgia again on a neutral field.

I never thought he was leaving Ole Miss from the get go, especially when Saban came out and suggested he stay put.

When in the history of college football has a coach that is gainfully employed said he plans on taking the offer from another school in the middle of the season?

Kiffin has no incentive to come to LSU if the money is even close to comparable. He’s got Ole Miss rolling. What’s LSU gonna do for him, win 11 regular season games instead of only 10?

The main thing he’d earn from LSU might be a few extra million at the cost of having the entire state calling for his job every time he doesn’t make the playoffs.

Not surprised. LSU and Florida can't wait for Kiffin and Ole Miss to finish playoff games in late December...or longer.

No it’s not your fault. But let’s stop giving this 1 loss season all this credence when honestly it isn’t that spectacular.

He was one bone head play away from losing to a shitty LSU team (who just fired their coach) at home.

A&M beat our arse on our field. Yall barely scraped by on your field.

I’m just sayin.

Do you expect him to tell his current staff he’s done there, as they’re preparing for the stretch run?

And anybody who watched that Georgia game, watched Kirby out coach the shite out of Lane in the 4th quarter.

What would you honestly expect Ole Miss to tell recruits?

He’s on his way to more 10 win regular seasons at Ole Miss in 3 seasons than LSU has had in the last 13 seasons.

LSU just ran off a Hall of Fame coach because it’s not as easy to win at LSU as everyone else thought. The fanbase is spoiled and won’t accept anything short of the playoffs, or else they’re calling for your head.
