Hey Arky fans,
Why not hire Jimmy Johnson? He's won on both levels. And he is an Arky Alum.
Right now Jimmy Johnson is snorting coke off some super model's arse while driving his fishing yacht through Miami harbor. I doubt he wants to get back into coaching.

Its UT fans for getting so worked up over it. You have to have realistic expectations when looking for a coach and understand that deals can go south in an instant.

There's nothing wrong with being upset if like you said, that you remain grounded. Then you don't feel totally deflated. The problem is our fan base is living in fantasy land and thinks UT is the pinnacle of a coaching job and top coaches are lined up outside Neyland with resumes in hand.

The SEC is even better when the Vols are competing in the East. We all would envy Tennessee if they landed Gruden.

If so, this is fantastic news for LSU. UT plays both Bama and UF every year. Anything to soften those two teams up a bit is a benefit for LSU.

The athletic department wasn't recently given 18 million dollars to hire Al Golden or Jimbo Fisher. It's obvious that Tennessee is trying to go in a very specific direction.
I'm not saying that Tennessee hasn't talked to other guys. But if it's not going to be Gruden, they better figure it out soon. Otherwise, we'll completely miss out on guys like Charlie Strong and end up with someone like Kirby Smart or Sonny Dykes.

Why? What does Gruden owe Tennessee fans? It's the job of the Tennessee administration to keep Vol fans informed. They can come out with a statement anytime they want informing fans of their offer and the deadline Gruden has to accept...if such an offer has in fact been made.

The article says there was interest in UT. That is the University of Texas....not the VOLS.
