The evening event's led Detroit News columnist Terry Foster to suggest Brandon make a quicker decision, calling the night "embarrassing."
"I have spoken to a couple of people who were at the bust and they said they were "in shock" when Rodriguez turned the banquet into an infomercial to keep his job as head football coach," Foster wrote.
The annual banquet is to honor the seniors and outstanding players on the team. It is not to get on your hands and knees and beg for forgiveness. One more time I bring up the question: Can anybody give me one reason why this man should keep his job?"

OK, this is too good. 2 good friends do a morning show here on radio. On home games they also do a gameday show. Usually a bunch of drunks calling in mixed with a little music.
Well, obviously, today, they had a lot to cover. LOL
Here is the result of the last few minutes.
Enjoy

and talked about how Groban's "You Raise Me Up," inspires him before having it played
For that statement alone, RichRod should be fired.

Screw him. I lost all respect for him with the way he left his alma mater, West Virginia. He had a great thing going for him there at the very place he played, but it wasn't "good enough" for him to coach at West Virginia.

His next coaching gig will be one that will brings him the peace he is seeking. Probably needs to be a small school in Montana or North Dakota. The pressures of high profile coaching has eaten him up like no other I've seen since Devine coached at Notre Dame.

wow this was amazing. i can't believe he actually did this.
never heard of thanking people with a josh groban song. seems like more of a punishment to me.

I'm not sure why he would want to stay at such an insular program that's seen it's best days long gone. This "Michigan Man" crap is a joke and in modern era college football, will have that program mired in mediocrity for years to come.

He is gone and everybody knows it. They will release him after the bowl game. Saves them 1.5 million but it is not about money according to Michigan insider. (bullshite BTW it is always about money)

Can Michigan afford to buy out RR, buyout the last 4 years of Stanford's contract with Harbaugh and pay him asking price?

What is his buy out? I'm betting it's not much.

Not sure what his contract specifically says, but that's not typically how it works (e.g. if Miles left LSU for Michigan, Miles owes LSU like $1-1.5M (I think.), not the balance of the contract.)
