Everyone else is reporting Jim McElwain except Godfrey. And Godfrey is a glorified blogger

I have no business being in this thread, but do OM fans have no respect for Godfrey and his "sources"?

Rather have Freeze than a poor man's Doc Holliday in McElwain (seriously, Holliday is everything McElwain is but slightly better- Offensive assistant to a championship coach who moved on to building a program, except Holliday has ties to Florida both in recruiting and in Gainesville and Holliday doesn't run a Saban style offense which post Muschamp will just piss Florida fans off).

What seems more likely. Pulling Freeze from Ole Miss, or McElwain from Colorado State?

Since when is Ole Miss more than a stepping-stone job?

If Freeze was offered the UF job, and If he wants to compete for championships, then he should take it.

If not, and he's content at being Ole Miss -- at home in familiar safe Mississippi -- then good for him.

That would be Mullen that wants to get away from Saban being he cant beat him.. Freeze has a win over Saban.

Its really not that difficult. Some people in life want money, some people want a challenge, some people just want to be happy where they are and the grass isnt greener on the other side.

Just because UF is the "better" job doesnt mean its the better job for Freeze

Is it an offer or inquiry? I suspect it is an inquiry to gauge interest.

Agreed. I, for one, would welcome Freeze with open arms to UF. There's no way he is UF's first option. Despite reports to the contrary, I'm still terrified they hire Rich Rod.
