To get Drinkwitz we will have to pay him 10 million a year and that’s laughable for him. Hilarious and sad. Hope this is a joke.

Florida has a stronger commitment to basketball than they do football. They are trending hard to basketball.

I heard Kiffin is asking for 15M 10 years while LSU only offers 12M.

1. Kiffin
2. Saban
3. Dillingham

It begins and ends there. Drink would be an absolute worse case type hire. Freeman sounds like tossing rings onto bottle caps.

What do these people not understand about how much better Dillingham is than Drinkowitz?

But god help us if Kiffin goes to Florida and Drink is LSU’s hire. There will be a lot of melting. And I’d have a difficult time not melting with everyone.

There are things about each and every candidate that this place will melt about, so it’s unavoidable

Par for the course around here

I have to imagine Verge has little to no power in this. I’d think it’s the huge boosters like Gordon and Graves that would. Can’t see LSU letting Verge make all the calls here, but who has the actual power here to call the shots?

Anyone know who has the most or all the power in deciding who the coach is?

Which speaks to how very fricked we are in general because I'm also not sure the interim/acting/fulltime athletic director has the loudest voice in the room right now.

If we get stiffed by Kiffin and it looks like Drink will be our guy, I say we riot on Twitter and get that vetoed

So we are going to hire a guy from a school that we got our last coach from who loses to even worse teams than BK did (NIU, Marshall, etc). And we are going to expect this guy who hasn’t done anymore than BK did at that same school to do better than BK here?

Would be a disaster.

We’re getting close to a hire. This looks much like Riley to LSU 4 years ago. Now the big question is who are we really hiring?

Me too. We can use the money we save on his salary for NIL. I don’t want Freeman. I agree that hiring another Notre Dame coach would not be popular with the fans.

A lot of money people like Drink per AYS. Also mods on On3 for Ole Miss is saying he’s going to Florida.

That’s why you can get Drink in one of the incentive based contracts the Govna wants.

I think Freeman is talking to Verge out of respect. They have a good relationship and Verge was one of the biggest reasons Freeman almost took our defensive coordinator job under Orgeron. That is one tiny piece of knowledge I do have.

I don't think there's a chance he comes to LSU though.

A lot of melting from the fanbase but will be applauded by people that actually know ball.

Explain it then. Because they both appear similarly underwhelming to me.

At least Drinkwitz has had more sustained success for longer. Dillingham has one great season under his belt.
