That’s correct. We had a jump on this one since we fired Napier before you guys fired BK.

I honestly don’t know what they actually do for a school in this situation.
I keep seeing vetting but there must be more to it like communication between parties for plausible deniability and overall strategy.

The time I remember LSU hiring a search firm is when reporters showed up at practice and asked Mike Archer how he felt about a search firm doing work to conduct a search for his replacement. That was about an hour before his radio show. It was quite a memorable radio show that night.

They tried that and it didn't work. Maybe they didn't want to keep hiring and firing ADs. Guess he wasn't doing a bad job outside of this (in the eyes of the admin) and decided to use the search firm instead.
