Agreed. Better resume on paper than Riley.

No doubt one ran from the toughest conference in America and one ran to it. I would say we got a man. L.R. Is perfect in fake land where his skinny jeans will be perfect.

You realize he couldn't take players with an ACT score less than 23.
He was literally fighting for NCs with one arm.

That's the dumbest shite I've heard all night.

If Brian Kelly was about 10 years younger I would probably agree with you

4. Kelly has the ND defense at No. 11 in the nation. Riley's defense is ranked just ahead of LSU and Mississippi State.

Kelly has an easy 10 years left. And with his age, we don’t really have to worry about him jumping to the nfl
Sure, Riley is younger so it’s possible he stays 25 years, but he also may jump to the nfl in 2 years….
I don’t really care much past 8-10 seasons when thinking of a coaching search. So much can happen after that

Maybe fatter, but not bigger.

Riley would have been a good hire for the 2-3 years he would have been here until he bolted for the NFL

He'll rebuild the offensive line. He's hard nose, what we need.

Riley will be a footnote trivia question in about five years
This is fact.
He had an opportunity to stay at OU when they enter the SEC, and carve out a real legacy with the big boys.
Instead, it comes out that he complained about "not having any input" about OU joining the SEC (as if the input of a coach matters when it's an administrative decision), and then ditches them in the middle of the night to go to another non-SEC conference.
He has no chest, and he has no honor.
I can't stand Lane Kiffin but would have taken him in a heartbeat over Riley. Kiffin at least has balls and doesn't back down (to a fault

Kelly did build Notre dame from bottom up and to a yearly contender. Riley while very good, was handed keys to a built program

Riley showed he was scared to compete in the SEC.
Kelly better record at ND than Saban when he was hired from Michigan State.

And he never lost to Kansas State in back to back seasons.
