And now you're paying recruits more as well. At the least LSU can force A&M to give their coaches a raise.

We were going to give him one anyway TBH. LSU has nothing to do w/it.
Also who cares? We have the cash to burn. It's not like giving him a raise will mean we can't afford something else for the program. Our penny pinching days that cut RC Slocum's legs out from under him are long gone. We're going full bore into crazy town w/spending and we aren't looking back.

Awesome. Spend away. There's only so much you can spend on each player and they can still transfer anyways.

This. Kelly molds his offense to his personnel. He ran a more up tempo spread at Cincy than he did at ND. Our offense will probably be a combo of what he ran at Cincy and ND and he’ll want to do that alongside a fresh mind, not someone stuck in a system they’ve always ran. I don’t think the OC will be a splash hire.
But I do think we try to get Lake or Elko as DC.

Young - Russ Callaway with Decoster on TE.
Proven DC - Jimmy Lake who can defend the spread offenes with lesser talent , imagine what he could do here.
Try to keep Davis, Baker and Raymond.
Add a Dunbar if you can.

Not sure your picks are gonna fly. I know Kelly brought back Wilson, but he is a HUGE ICON in LA, a proven recruiter of the highest caliber. Your LSU retreads for offense are young and unproven.
As for Lake, this article doesn't bode well for him coaching at such a high level right now. Seems he may need to go to a lower level program and let this blow over for a year or so.
