if Orgeron is HC (and I do not think he will be)I don't think you will find the best candidates will be willing to come here.

Look at the stats and you'll find several potential candidates among lower P5 and mid major schools.

Coming from the guy that is so desperate, that he's willing to have LSU's name tainted by associating with a known rape enabler. Yeah, I'm going to go with you're the one who's just a little too mad.

I remember similar allegations from Duke... Hmmm

I would expect nothing less from a true Miles and Cam suppoter.

I think people are sleeping on lIncoln Riley as a good young OC.

Big 12 Defense doesn't help my statement though..

Are you really serious? Skip Bertman has already said no to Briles, Petrino, and Kiffin.

O's comments and decisions this week have me starting to lean toward the Herman crowd. It was clear Saturday that it takes more creativity on offense. We had 2 weeks and didn't have a good scheme.

Everything was short and lateral just the way Bama wants you to play keeping everything in front of them.
They want to force you to either throw it quick in front of them or throw it up for grabs from pressure.

We should have had other options and a backup plan for Etling being ineffective.

If Texas Tech gets itchy with
K.Kingsburry I think he'd be #1 on my list.

Cool. Another one that doesn't really care about LSU. Penn State once made decisions similar to this too.

Anyone saying we should hire Art Briles has absolutely ZERO insight into... well anything.
No program is going to hire Briles, probably ever.
LSU would be ostracized by the media (ESPN included) and possibly even the SEC. That's IF the NCAA didn't immediately step in and give Briles the banhammer.
It would be a public perception catastrophe. Even our admins aren't that stupid.
Disagree?
Activists calling for Baylor to cancel season
247Sports' take on Briles
Or how about the Wall Street Journal's report from just a week ago?
quote:

After Friday's alarming revelations in The Wall Street Journal, it would be surprising if Art Briles ever coaches another snap of college football. No school president, board or athletic director could handle the backlash that would inevitably come with hiring Briles. The report said that 17 women on campus reported "sexual or domestic assault involving 19 players, including four alleged gang rapes."

Just google news his name... I'm not saying he wouldn't be great at coordinating an offense, but to the posters suggesting LSU should hire him as our offensive coordinator...
use your fricking brain.
