Living in the Garden District in New Orleans is no different then living in an upscale community in BR. Both cities have crime.I was just saying this because he played at Tulane and his wife's family is from the Northshore. No fight here!

Just seems like a lateral move. I think he could be considered for better jobs later on.

If he waits another year and fields another good product he could be considered for the South Carolina job or a job of that caliber

If he's who I think he is, Tulane is just a two year stopgap. He can make a bigger jump with another good year

Man honestly Baker was so overrated.

How so?

His defense was only one of the best in the country. So can you let us know WHY you believe he’s overrated and what he could have done better?

He is not ready and will fail spectacularly. Thanks, a-hole.

Man, let BB make his career decision and be happy for him. If it fails, he will have to get back up and try again. If he succeeds he likely doubles his salary again.

GOOD LUCK BLAKE BAKER.

He probably will get a better offer in a few years.Tulane has been in 4 straight conference championship games. If he does go there I think he's set up alright until the next move.

Is not in the top 25 “one of the best in the country”?

Sorry if we’re taking $3m DC, I had better be getting THE BEST

It's hard to defend running qb's but at times his units have looked totally unprepared and never had an answer

While true at times, the defense had zero margin for error all season long and kept the team in literally every game except TAMU. LSU lost to 5 top 14 teams, and you really can’t blame the defense except in one of them.

Uptown New Orleans is way better than anything that Baton Rouge can offer

A decent comparison is Kane Wommack, who was head coach at South Alabama and left to be DC at Bama. He also got a huge pay increase.

Tulane obviously has more resources than USA, but it’s still a far cry from LSU.
