That's about the dumbest response possible given who Cade Mays is.

I know who he is. I also know that if his head can be turned this late in the game, y'all are up a creek.

Besides, it just came out that his OV is scheduled in Athens 5 days before the early signing period.

Just to be clear, if he flips, it has nothing to do with Georgia. IF, he flips, it is 100% because we completely frick up with this coaching change.

Don't care what the rationale is. Y'all are likely about to take the Fulmer decade in the wilderness into OT.

Mullen's name just keeps popping up like a dirty penny. IDK if Sexton is just trying damn hard to get Mullen a raise or whether there's legit interest with Mullen to UT.

Sexton gonna Sexton. This is like the 30th year in a row Mullen's name has been associated with an opening elsewhere. I've always thought he would be dangerous at a school that recruits itself.

Oregon head coach Willie Taggart.

PLEEEASE hire him UF. He’s a bum who rode Chip Kelly’s coat tails to the Oregon job.

Surprised they don't have more high profile candidates as their first choices
Like who?
I am willing to do it for cheap! :)

Mullen's name seems to surface for just about every SEC job that comes available...and he's still at MSU. I think his "interest" is more of Mullen and his agent wanting to get out of Starkville vs. other SEC schools actually having interest in Mullen
You mean MIZZOU is included? No way! Right now MIZZOU football is in better shape than it was earlier this year.

Outside of Chip Kelly who else is “high profile”. Also worth noting their best coaches came from Duke and Utah.

The question for me regarding Mullen is whether or not he really would take the next step at a bigger gig with better recruiting classes or is his average win total something that's just him. IOW, can Mullen win the SEC at UT?
Look at MIZZOU. Got to find someone who is the right fit for that gig. Fans have been wanted Barry Odom gone. I never did wanted him gone. I said give him THREE years to turn the program around. Yes Odom made some mistake like keeping Cross who was the DC. He was fired earlier this year. Odom dug out a huge hole and have turned the defense around and the players are finally getting into his system. Next year Barry Odom should have his team rank in the top 25.

If that is so true then why Florida, Tennessee and other schools with good recruiting grounds have not done anything so far?

Why exactly? Taggart came to Oregon from USF. If he'd stayed at USF one more year, he'd be the first choice instead of Scott Frost.

At schools like Oregon and Nebraska, you have to be on the road 24/7/365 to recruit. And even then, it's a tough chore to get visits from recruits.

At Florida, you can drive to recruit and be back home for dinner. I don't know how you can beat that in terms of job perks.
If it was such a job perk why did he leave USF who was a even more central than IF is? Either way no chance he leave Oregon after 1 year when Oregon broke the bank on assistants for him

Uhh, money? Greater facilities, Power 5 conference competition? Taggart has two program rebuilds under his belt already. A third would make him the hottest ticket around.

While I tend to agree with you, we only have to look as far as Lane Kiffen to remember coaches sometimes leave after 1 year.

I would normally agree with you, but Taggart loves the state and knows this could be his only opportunity to get this job. He has a small buyout, it wouldn't surprise me.
