Don't want. He's not really that highly regarded as an OC. There's a reason why he bounces around from job to job and fat Mexican chicks don't help.

saban hated that applewhite threw too much

applewhite is coming from a position where his qb just threw like 60 times in his last game

We were talking to Kiffin even though he is under contract to 'Bama and Saban has not granted "access"

When has following the rules been an issue for Kiffin. And what is Saban going to do, fire him? His contract ends in Feb. Of course hes talking to other schools

And Kiffin breaking off talks only means, he informed O that he wants a HC job

Am I crazy for not getting the Applewhite hype? Wasn't he fired from Alabama and Texas?

Bama Total Offense 2007 ranked No. 65.
Saban fires Applewhite, whose offense scored 14 whole points agains Louisiana Monroe.

Texas Total Offense 2013 ranked No. 66.
Brown get's fired and Applewhite is shown the door after screwing a student trainer.

Meh - he left after 1 year and went to his Alma Mater - Bama wasn't very good in 2007, so I bet the staff got sick of Saban's tirades pretty quickly. Probably mutual.

fricked a trainer. Don't shite where you eat. I have to believe he's learned his lesson by now - but you have that problem with A LOT of these younger coaches (*cough* Kiffin *cough*) fricking the coeds.

(ETA: For the record - as a dedicated QB coach, I might be okay with Applewhite - as an OC/QB? Certainly not high on my list - I would prefer Sark, Art Briles, Lincoln Riley, Sterlin Gilbert - hell, I might like to see what Ensminger and Craig can put together, over Applewhite.)

Don't let the bottom dwellers get to you. Forum is loaded with them. May get 1-3% of good, logical conversation out of the whole forum- which leaves 97-99% bullshite. So you have to sift through mountains of bullshite for a grain of insight, logic, or good ole conversation. ..and so is the way of TD.

The shite I'll do/put up with for LSU.

Im really starting to like Matt Canada.

Of course he seemingly has a squeaky clean track record and never coached at SC so he's probably not even in #TheBinder.

Chicken, I think he makes plenty of sense at UH. Honestly, he's put the time in, held the OC position at some high-profile places, and (presumably) would have Herman's backing as a replacement.
