Each team plays 2 permanent SEC teams, 6 other teams by rotation and 4 non conference opponents.
Top 2 teams play in the SEC-CG.
Tie breakers:
(1) Result of head to head contest.
(2) If no head to head contest, then points spread PF-PA in SEC games.
(3) PF-PA is the same, yardage difference, YF -YA in SEC games.
(4) BCS Rankings.
Permanent Match ups are follows:
Alabama => Tennessee, Auburn
Arkansas => Tamu, South Carolina
Auburn => Alabama, Georgia
Florida => Georgia, Tennessee
Georia => Florida, Auburn
Kentucky => Vanderilt, South Carolina
LSU => Tamu, Ole Miss
Miss State => Vanderbilt, Ole Miss
Ole Miss => Miss State, LSU
South Carolina => Arkansas, Kentucky
Tennessee => Alabama, Florida
Tamu => Arkansas, LSU
Vanderbilt => Miss State, Kentucky

I believe divisions are a REQUIREMENT for a conference championship game.

Depends...are we playing an 8 or 9 game schedule?
Gotta have divisions...
9 games--Only way it works is if The East teams are forced to play 4 opponents from the West.
8 games--East plays 3 west opponents where the west plays 2.
Doesn't really seem fair to the East.

This is true, and the NCAA bylaws state that the divisions must be equal in number.

Are you sure? The MAC has 7 and 6.

I think you're right, I must have read that wrong in regards to the "round-robin" scheduling.

Took a look at MAC scheduling and they play 18 cross div games. The 6 team div plays 3 apiece and in the 7 team div 4 play 3 and 3 play 2. Obviously, the four that play 3 skip a division opponent.
I haven't researched it yet, but I wonder if the MAC does anything to even out the uneven divisional scheduling or do they just go with what happens. Teams with the extra div game could be at an advantage or disadvantage in the tie-breaking rules depending on what the do.
