Tech, Texas and A&M will stick together no matter what

OU indicates they will stick with Texas as well

OSU apparently is off to PAC 10

SEC will have to raid ACC if they expand and I'm starting to think Missouri could be SEC darkhorse if Big 10 bails on them

I also think Louisville or even Memphis should be looked at as well - perfect SEC fits

How does Texas Tech get so much protection? They are like the Fredo to Texas's Michael.

This would be a big ole bag of fail for the SEC, but if these reports of us "talking" to Okla, TAMU, etc. are untrue and we just sat on our hands, then we deserve Memphis.

Oklahoma probably wants to stay in with Texas because of the amount of recruiting both academically and athletically are tied to Texas

So you're in favor of adding one more Ole Miss and one more Miss. State huh?

The thought of that depresses the hell out of me.

Who knows? Pac10 doesn't seen to know what is going to happen.

Posted this in another thread, but found a link

In a teleconference Thursday, Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott said that his conference won’t necessarily pluck any other Big 12 schools besides Colorado, which announced this afternoon that it was leaving. “I’d say that (having an 11-team conference) is a possibility,” Scott said. He also said that no assurances and that no invitations have been issued to any other Big 12 schools, including Texas and Texas A&M, whose athletic directors met on Thursday in Austin to discuss their future. “There are several different scenarios,” Scot siad. “There is no defined timetable” for further Pac-10 expansion.

This report seems to be coming from a Texas Tech University official....time for a few grains of salt.

SEC West
LSU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss St.
Texas
Texas Tech
Texas A&M
Oklahoma

SEC East
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
S. Carolina
Kentucky
Vandy
Tennessee

Keeps the Bama/Auburn and Bama/Tennessee rivalry in place. And pretty much fits geographically.

That would be great. The SEC couldn't be touched as the premier football conference as long as this held together.

Members of the boards of A&M and UT held a closed door meeting today. I wouldn't believe any report on this until that meeting is over.
