---If you want the Pels, as a small market team, to become a serious contender in the playoffs...know the following.
---1. Teams currently leading the NBA in % of total shots being 3-pt shots. 1 Utah 49%...3 GS 47%...4 Milwaukee 44%...28 NO 34%
---2. You can construct a "High 3-pt shooting" team WITHOUT necessarily needing a true SUPERSTAR. You know, the kind of true SUPERSTAR a small market team finds very hard to keep, when they do manage to get hold of one.
---3. The trend of more & more 3-pt shooting is only going to increase...so...BUILD YOUR TEAM ACCORDINGLY !! Learn from the Jazz, the Warriors & even the Bucks.
---4. It is the ONLY option...a small market team such as NO has...to become a serious contender nowadays.
PS: Please know, I am being totally serious about this transformation...AND...I am 99.9% sure there is absolutely NO chance it will occur. So, please expect more of what you've experienced in the past...and good luck, to us all

You act like they haven't tried to get Shooters. Graham and TM3 were obvious trades/picks
Losing Lonzo hurt because naw is so bad at shooting 3s. While 20mil is a hefty price, you could argue a backcourt of Graham/zo could fix some issues we have right now.

Stats can be distorted to support any debate. Chucking more 3s will not make this team any better. If you look at who shots the most 3s. The top ten are..
Jazz, Wolves, Warriors, Bucks, Rockets, Thunder, Mavs, Magic, Blazers, Hornets (11th is the Pistons)
Lots of bad teams in that mix. We are at 24th basically tied with the Nets. Lots of better teams around us.
We don't have any problems scoring. Our problems are on defense. I know you love Jones, he has bailed us out on that end. We started playing better when Hart and Hernangomez starting bringing it as well. Defense matters.

---Many times, I do a lousy job of trying to get my point across. This is probably another one of those times. I agree, stats are useful...until they're not.
---IMO...a small market team like the Pels have basically NO shot at being a SERIOUS contender like a "big" such as Lakers, Nets etc...without TOTALLY adjusting their style to find a way to compete with those type teams, while having less overall talent. I'm new here, but it seems to me the Pels will always have trouble keeping a superstar player when they do manage to get one. If I'm wrong, I apologize for my assumption.
---My attempt at a solution, is the same it is for (as an example) most college football teams that have adjusted their offenses to try & compete with the likes of Georgia, Ohio St, Alabama etc...they can't just line up & play them jaw to jaw. It's the same principle in the NBA. Some teams have already made the leap...some are in the process.
---The key is not just looking for more & better shooting guards. It's a TOTAL philosophical change in how everybody...AT EVERY POSITION on your team...plays on the offensive end. IMO, many superstars are fairly useless to a team that has already made the leap like GS, Utah etc...and to be honest, I think neither GS or UTAH would have ANY interest in picking up most of today's superstars, even if they could get them for next to nothing. PLEASE, don't ask me name names, as I don't want to badmouth players, even superstars. And for example, even a truly great player for a team like GS, like Draymond, would be fairly useless for most other teams. He just wouldn't "fit" the normal style of offense in the NBA.
---As usual, I'm getting too long. Cutting to the chase: I think, to make the leap, a team has to totally rethink how they view the "style" that they are looking for from their very best players. The Pels already have a couple of strikes against them...I'd like to see them take some steps to give them the best shot at competing with the BIG boys.

I appreciate your thoughts and response. Nothing wrong with a radical or new approach. I wouldn't mind that at all.
Tons of small market teams are successful and the formula isn't difficult. You get young pieces, then go in when the time is right. We just missed with Paul and Davis. We didn't surround them with the pieces to succeed.
Zion is just an odd situation. Without him talking, all we can do is speculate. I'm sure his focus is on getting healthy and not forcing a trade. But if he does, it'll be alright. Just have to roll with the punches. That is the essence of being a Pels fan. Not everybody is cut out for it..

Your takes aren't that bad.
But you really dont have to start off each paragraph with ---

---Sorry...but, back where I come from, that is one of my trademark "moves"...and I'm also considered the undisputed master...of the "3-dot pause"... on my "home board".
---Originally, when I arrived here, I didn't use either one...but old habits are hard to break. But I have JUST NOW decided...that in an effort to fit in...I will permanently eliminate the "---".
However, the "3-dot pause" shall remain (a man can only sacrifice SO much !!)...and btw...if you haven't figured it out already, I tend to also terribly overuse the following:
1. The use of quotation marks (for no good reason)
2. The use of parenthesis (most times, for no good reason)
3. The use of capitalization (for emphasis)
Bear in mind I was constantly berated by fellow-Bama fans back on my home board, for all my weird habits when posting, so there is NO problem here with your "suggestion"...and I fully expect further "suggestions" in the near future. I'm actually surprised it took this long for them to start rolling in.

You should get a plaque made.

I found the lack of unnecessary quotation marks in this sentence disappointing.

And which board is that.

Yea cut down on the capitalization and parenthesis
Also, it seems like you're an internet GM. Internet GMs need to use names of actual players. Saying we need this type of guy, or trade him for someone that does this. That applies to everybody though.

First, I'd better say the following: I REALLY like Skylar Mays, I kinda like Trendon Watford and I have no comment on Cam Thomas.
Now, having said that, I'll just say I'm obviously, one of the very few objective Bama fans out there. Kinda give myself away about being Bama, with all the Herb stuff. Been a bit of a Pels fan for awhile, but jumped onboard with both feet, when Herb landed there. I'll admit the Pels were originally only by default, since I can't stand the Hawks or Grizz.
FWIW: I just arrived here during Summer League, and from what I've seen, which is fairly limited, I'm pretty sure Josh Hart is my 2nd most favorite player on the Pels. My favorite music is...ohh, wait a sec...I'm getting carried away again.
