Short Weekend Getaway from Baton Rouge?

I promised my significant other I would book us a weekend trip (a Friday and Saturday night) as a Christmas present but I’m having trouble deciding. I want to book it for sometime in the next 3 months. I’ve thought of NOLA, Fairhope, AL, and also maybe a B&B in the St. Francisville area. Open to anything within about a 4-hour drive. Apologies if this is a lame question for this board lol. I did read over the first few pages of topics, which is how I got the Fairhope idea.

Thanks, I’ll check it out. Neither of us has been there yet.

Fairhope is a great idea.
If you’ve never been to old downtown Covington a stay at the Southern Hotel or a Bed & Bed breakfast is a nice weekend trip.

Seriously, Natchez will be a nice surprise for y’all. I’ve got access to an apartment/loft there and enjoy spending a random day or two there throughout the year. If you guys are history and/or architectural buffs, it is the bomb.
It’s slow paced and off the grid, you have to make your own fun.

If you want something nice, Dunleith Historic Inn. Their Castle Restaurant is nice too.
