tPear knows what he’s doing and this team is going to be extra prepared and motivated going into the SEC gauntlet. This man will make sure of it.

Will Wade has a ton of Saban-esque coaching qualities

I’d be happy if they go over .500 in the next 10 games.anything better than 6/10 would be really incredible

tPear knows what he's up against. Giving up easy 3s late could be the difference in a tight SEC game.

Auburn is the best (or at least the most balanced) team in the SEC right now. Wade knows that, and he knows beating the hell out of a team that plays no defense isn't something to get overly excited about. There are huge challenges beginning in 6 days and he's, in a sense, trying to piss off his players in an effort to get them ready for AU instead of being excited to be 12-0

I was thinking this last night as well, while watching them play Lipscomb. Despite a 20-30 point lead he still looked pissed and intense as he would direct, critique, players. He was looking for the perfection that you see Saban do when they are blowing out the Citadel or somebody. Remember the @ss chewing he gave Kiffen during a blowout win?
There is something different this year. He is focusing them on defense, which opens up the offense fast breaks. I don't know if Wade has learned that you can't win without very good defense because the offense inevitably goes flat on occassion.
Has Wade learned something or is this a group of guys that are reveling in good defense? I think Wade has grown as a coach in the defense and this group of guys have bought in.

Even in pre-game warmups, they are mostly practicing defense!

Wade learning defense? Wade never had the offensive players that would buy in as a TEAM and play the D he wanted. He has always preached D and it's importance but he couldn't get an entire team to buy in. Now he is 8 deep and everyone can hang in the power 5 of basketball. They have bought in and it's showing.
