As we begin the seven days of Kwanzaa, Jill and I send our best wishes to everyone celebrating. May this time of reflection on the rich heritage of African American culture bring peace, unity, and joy.

No such thing. Hyphenated Americans are a thing of the present and were never a thing of the past. The terminology was inserted solely to create division in the Citizenry.

We need plain ole Americans, nothing else.

“Africans in America” is more accurate.

Peace? As in the absence of violence?

Today is officially "umoja", the 1st day of Kwanzaa. The purpose of umoja is to strive for and maintain unity in the family, the community, the nation, and the race.

ever met anyone that celebrates Kwanzaa? Better yet, have you ever heard this “holiday” being discussed in a manner other than laughing and lots of eye rolling?

I said this yesterday….

quote:

I’m just surprised he said, “Merry Christmas”. I would’ve thought “Happy Holidays” or “Happy Kwanzaa”.

In the Joe Biden Merry Christmas thread. I guess I was just a day early.

Well, to be fair, name one holiday/religion that wasn't completely made up out of whole cloth?

Isn't Kwanzaa a CIA scam started in the 60s to gaslight AAs?

Kwanzaa is some made-up, commie, anti-Christmas BS that was invented out of whole cloth by radicals in the 1960’s.

If someone wants to celebrate Kwanzaa, go for it, but the pandering by politicians for this made up hooey is simply unsightly.

Most of the enduring cultural ones are the result of ever evolving traditions, some for over centuries and even millennia. This so-called “Holliday” is really nothing like any other at all.
