MSY Parking Question

I've only been to the new MSY a few times and have been dropped off/picked up each time so bare with
Think I will be parking at the long-term garage across from arrivals. I know if you come in to the first floor of the terminal you will be walking in at baggage claim
What's the best way to get to the service counter/baggage check-in? Is it a higher level from the parking garage or do you have to enter through baggage claim on the first floor? Thanks

There are escalators that take you up two levels to check in desks. Then you'll go back down one level to security after that.

Probably cheaper to park at USPark. They have discounts on their website and they will drop you off right at the check in level.
It will probably be just as quick.

Just looked at their website. Looks like you don’t need a reservation and can just drive up?
Do they have the attendant booth manned 24/7 so you can show them the coupon on your phone?
ETA: where is B5? Says that’s where the shuttle picks you back up from airport

Last time I parked there was at the old terminal, but if I recall, you don't pay until you leave out.

Correct, but you show them the coupon when you pay, and if you’re returning flight is after normal business hours, I was curious if the cashier’s booth would still be manned to present the coupon

Long-term is significantly faster, don't have to wait for a shuttle, but US Park and economy are cheaper.
Also check before leaving, on busy weekends long-term and sometimes short-term too are full.

Yes, I returned after midnight and someone was in the booth.
They are offering coupons for this weekend (President Day), search US park on line. They will email you a $10 referral and the person you referred to can get $50.
So I referred my wife, she got a $50 coupon, I got a $10, they are good for a year.

I use that garage weekly. Will there is no “direct” path, enter down at arrivals and take the escalators (two sets) up.

B stands for Baggage Claim. On the first level (baggage claim) there are doors that are numbered. So you got out door numbered 5.
US Park you have to be careful. If you get a coupon it's a good deal. Otherwise, know that the advertised price, they add a bunch of taxes and fees to it. Whereas the price for the MSY garages, that's the total price.
Also, I usually park in short term. Why? Short term is $22/day and Long Term is $20/day. To be closer and not have to walk outside and up / down is worth $2 a day especially if it's only for a couple of days.

How long does it take to catch the shuttle from the economy garage?

Bumping this with the same question. Also, is there a day limit on short term parking at the new msy?

I do the exact same thing, especially when flying with the whole family/kids. Not sure why it’s such a small price difference.
