Danielson said that Charles Scott's fumble was the first by an LSU back in 612 carries.

Seems like there were a couple of fumbles last year. Anyone know?

It may be the first one lost in such a period. I do think Trindon fumbled in the SEC title game tho...

He might have meant the first fumble resulting in a turnover in that many carries.

I know that Hester had a fumble last year, but I think we recovered it.

original post says fumble by a back. Didn't QJ fumble against Assburn?

Doesn't matter what the OG poster said. The stat last night was 612 carries from LSU tailbacks without a lost fumble.

well he lined up as a TB. Thats all that really matters, not what he's "listed" as. If Lee got in a play at linebacker do you think it'd go down as a tackle by the quarterback or linebacker?

either way, what danielson said is a dumb, misleading stat, considering a guy who lined up as a TB fumbled and Quinn Johnson fumbled too.

except I'm technically correct since on the play Trindon was a TB. But whichever.

When it happened, I didn't think the fumble would be credited to Scott, since he never actually controlled the ball. I thought the fumble was credited to the QB in that situation. Regardless of the rule, I think Hatch was more responsible for that fumble than Scott.
