What are some good artificial baits for bass this weekend on some good size farm ponds in Pearl River county Mississippi. Thanks in advance.

What's the water color?
When ours is clear I use a black wacky rigged Zoom trick worm. When it's dirty I use wacky rig a watermelon trick worm with a chartreuse tail. If there's grass or a lot of stumps I texas rig it.

water is going to be like clear ice tea if that makes sense has a stain to it but not muddy at all.

I like using the H & H spinner baits with a black/yellow skirt or a very small sonic in "bream" color.

Some of the most fun to be had on a farm pond that’s likely crowded is a pond magic buzzbait with your choice of plastic instead of the skirt (I use a speedcraw, color doesn’t matter). Other than that your typical Texas rigs, weightless flukes, and small swim baits are gonna catch and will mainly be dictated to you by the type of cover it’s got. Any kind of bluegill pattern is a safe bet.

8 inch Cream worm. No weight dark colors like black or purple.

You can rig a senko wacky style and throw about any color on a pond and smoke the bass. Use an o-ring on a Zman and one bait can last 10+ fish.

I live in a neighborhood with a few ponds ranging from 1/2 acre to 10 acres. They are loving the green pumpkin KVD Ocho right now. I Texas rig it with a 5/0 hook and no weight. It just floats along. I cast it let it settle to the bottom then ease it back in

Anything the color of a crawfish. If it looks like a crawfish too its probably good to.
If you want to catch a TON of bass, stock a pond with a sack of crawfish, go fish it a couple days later with some artificial crawfish.

Start with a beetle spin to see what you're working with, then move up to small cranks and weightless trick worms or flukes. Really about all you would need. I caught three small bass this morning in a bayou that is now not much more than a ditch with an old name.

6in Fire and Ice worm. Assuming there is some cover to cast to.
