Was notified that they've cancelled my flight from MSY -> SFO tomorrow. They automatically changed my flight to United Saturday morning.

So now I called and they told me inclement weather tomorrow and they can't do anything about it and that ALL delta flights at MSY are canceled tomorrow.

Anyone else having this issue? Really peeved that I'm paying for another hotel night for no reason at this point.

Are you able to rebook using the app? I can see a few options for a delayed msy-atl flight at 630am or a 608am flight to LAX

If the app will let you rebook to DL 992 and DL 1677 I'd do that. Also not all Delta flights out of MSY are cancelled tomorrow, you got a bad agent

Did they even look at the weather before saying such a stupid thing?

Delta is canceling flights in advance so they don't cancel day of apparently, system wide. They are melting down again. They have fallen far in reliability the last couple years.

They are trying to get ahead of it by doing this, so I guess that's worth something and gives people more time to change arrangements.

It won't let me because now its a United flight they rebooked me.

Went through United and they said tough luck, can't fix anything talk to Delta.

It would have been convenient to just change the carrier to United same night as there's a flight that lands 2 hours earlier via United...

My response was that, "it is completely clear tomorrow"

"well its not in atlanta"

my reply was, "it says 10% chance of precipitation in atlanta..."

"Sorry we can't do anything, that's it"

I'm fine with that, but damn at least comp me the hotel night or better yet just swap me to the same day flight..

I just checked the app. There are four flights leaving MSY to SFO this morning. They're expensive, but they're there.

A particular sentence in that article makes my blood boil. Taxpayers gave delta 10 billion so they would be staffed when things got back to normal. Just sickening to think about how much money our government wastes

Covid layoffs combined with Biden's war on America.
