Whats your favorite course? I just started picking it back up and playing a round each Sunday.

Right now just playing BREC Webb course and I'm usually +10-15 over after a round.

I stopped playing golf 21 years ago. That's when family and career got really busy. If I can't play at least 3 times a week to at least maintain my game the game is too frustrating to me. I love the game but it's a game I have to be all in or I'm not having fun.

I haven't played in 4 years since I quit drinking. Maybe the drinking made it fun?

You can't beat Webb for the price and condition.

I've been going and just hitting, using a set of clubs that was handed down so I'm sure they are not great for me. Just walking to course and hanging out for the most part, leaving the phone in the vehicle so a few hours of no distractions

I recently picked it back up after about 25 years because my sons started playing. Only get to play once a week or so. I’m just working to get below 100 again.

I do… When I realized that I was mainly competing against a course and my best score at that course, instead of getting mad because I was 7 strokes back of men 15 years younger , it became much more relaxing/fun.
Hitting balls ,drinking coldies , riding around outside and busting baws balls is my “unwind” from life.

Same here. Golf was my life for so many years as a kid then through playing in college.

When life came along and got busy with other things, golf got miserable. So I quit for a good 10 years or so.

I picked the game back up during Covid. Now I’m back hitting balls several times per week minimum. And trying to play once a week. Because shitty golf is zero fun.

We usually have 6-8 guys and we have a great time.

All the guys are decent players and very social guys.

We always have a good time in the 19th hole afterwards busting balls.

Pro tip:
Pick a shot shape, left to right or right to left, and stick with it. Especially off the tee. Stop trying to hit the ball straight. If you try to hit it straight and it curves at all, the ball will always be moving away from the target.

How wet was the course today?? I had a tee time this morning and the guy told me cart path only and I'm to damn lazy for that shite..

But to answer your question, I play for frustrating relaxation..while I always want to play better and get miffed at bad shots.. I'd rather be on the course tgan at the house doing honey dos

I retired from club championships, 4 balls, LGA events, etc about 5 years ago.

I rarely play these days - if I do it is vacation golf. Real life gets in the way of golf. Kids, career, marriage….now kiddos are grown up, I just don’t have the desire to practice and play.

Play mainly for exercise. Relaxation, yeah. Love walking down the fairway after a nice drive while listening to the ballgame on the radio. It's near nirvana.

Quit the game for about 10 years but picked it back up recently because I started playing with my dad who is 78. Great way to spend time with family.

So started to really get into it this year and golf/range 3-4 days a week. Walk the course for exercise. 18 holes will burn off about 1500 calories per Garmin. So kill two birds with one stone. I'm not good, shot 45/42-87 yesterday and 45/47-92 today with two birdies, but getting better as a year ago those would be 105s.

Going out tomorrow morning with my dad. Looking forward to that round.
