Best " How do I stop picking my head up " advice ever

I have this problem from time to time....I mentioned it to a golf coach with the thought that there is nothing he can do and I just have to fix this. Here is what he told me:
"You pick you head up because you are focused 'seeing' the ball. You are focused on watching the ball at impact. The problem is you are telling your brain to watch the ball with your eyes and your brain is anticipating what the ball will do and sending your eyes in that direction by way of picking up your head and turning to where your brain knows the ball will be. Stop making "keep your eye on the ball" your brain's mission. Instead, make the mission to not move your head through the swing. Do not send your brain a message about looking or seeing - - that happens automatically. You are not telling you brain anything about seeing - - but of course, your eyes will be on the ball. Because your focus is not moving your head, your brain will not be anticipating the ball moving and you will not try to see ball in advance of actually striking it."
For some reason this clicked with me and made sense.

The head moves slightly in a good golf swing, but Sudden movements are disruptive. No movement of the head can lead to tension. Tension destroys a rhythmic golf swing.
I think of it as “staying centered” as opposed to “don’t move head.”
A swing is a free release. I struggle when I get overly concerned about “head down.” It sometimes gets my chin down which interferes in a free moving swing.
It is true the head cannot violently move up, down, or sideways, but it can move slightly during a good swing.
However, if a swing thought works for you, keep at it until it does not. The half-life of a swing thought for me is about 3 rounds, then something else is necessary for me to get it going again.
Lastly, your pro knows way more than I ever will. Keep sharing.

I’ve found the counting backwards from 5 before swinging really helps with this and a lot of other too many swing thought issues.

I've changed my focus to watching what the divot does. The more focused I get on a particular blade of grass, or the line where I want the club to make contact, the better I tend to do.
Accomplishes basically what you're suggesting but trains your eyes on the grass, rather than the ball.

Picking your head up is probably the most misunderstood swing tip of all time. What it really means is just that you need to stay down through the ball through the hitting area.
Your head is supposed to be able to move as your body does otherwise you're not going to finish your swing correctly and it's going to negatively impact your strike, rhythm, power, and accuracy.

I randomly came across some amazing advice the other day on an Instagram post.
"Play golf with the swing you have, not the swing you want."
Simple but made a huge impact in my head. I feel like I've been chasing the perfect swing mechanics and looks for the last 15 years. I need to just embrace what I have because it gives me better results, even though I don't look anything like an Adam Scott when I swing.
