China says it will take Taiwan in 48 hour lightning strike after watching Putin’s failures

OK, how are you going to do that Xi? Sure you can send missiles and carpet bomb them to defeat them in 48 hours, but that fricks up almost the entire point of you invading Taiwan because you’re after the infrastructure and technology.
Your assault is going to have to be amphibious. Where are the boats, Xi? We’re not seeing them. Plus the beaches are notoriously horrible in Taiwan. Good fricking luck with your men taking the entire island in two days.
Doing it in 48 hours.
If China invades Taiwan, that invasion is going to take months in the very least. It’s a much more difficult invasion than Russia invading Ukraine. So he’s talking shite, but this shite talking is still concerning.

Taiwan is self-ruled, though Beijing considers it to be a breakaway province that it will eventually unite with. Tensions over its international status were last week stoked when a leading US Democrat visited its capital, Taipei.
This prompted a range of military drills from Beijing, which are now said to have finished.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi insisted that Nancy Pelosi was “violating China’s sovereignty under the guise of so-called democracy”.
They are understood to have learnt from the “special military operation” in Ukraine that the West took at least two days to respond and that this period offers “the crucial window of time when irreversible gains can be made”.

Yeah we have known this since forever
They wont do anything and if they do imo it wont be as easy as predicted

China always swinging that tiny dick in circles.

That may be so, but we pay for our men to chop their dicks off. So take that.

But the fact that any plan that could take Taiwan in 48 hours goes against China’s bottom line. They may take Taiwan, but they’ve fricked themselves hardcore to the point where Xi risks his own people killing him over it. It’s not like last time with the Great Leap Forward where the Chinese don’t know what the outside world is like. They know now how the rest of the world is, and if Xi fricks them that hard, there are a lot of people there that would be willing to kill him.

Not on the straight side. I’ve stood on the beach in Kaohsiung. It’s as flat and sandy as they come. Now you get on the Philippine sea side of the island that a different story but the short boat ride China has puts then on easy beaches.

The US was already there in Ukraine waiting

Current infrastructure and technology don’t play much into the equation.
I expect the ChiComs have enough influence on the island that after a short, brutal missile and bombing campaign that the in-country ChiCom asset peaceniks will call for a truce and influence the populace that acceptance of terms and “closer ties” with the mainland, and breaking ties with the West, is a good idea.

I assure you that’s not going to happen. This isn’t going to look like what we’re seeing in Ukraine. A few targeted strikes, sure, but the planes are going to be there for air support as they’re crossing the Taiwan straight.

I’ve been over there too, but there are large dikes and lots of bridges. It’s not fricking Normandy. The best beach to land on is actually on the other side of the island by Yilan. That’s the most likely place they’ll land, especially given its proximity to Taipei.

Remember when Democrats said Trump would lead to WWIII? Looks like Biden’s weak arse will actually be what causes it

Taiwan is naturally fortified. The only way they're taking the island is by shooting all their missiles from the mainland and killing millions of people.

Send in our brave trans peeps to help defend the pride of Taiwan!

It should be noted it was from there Japan launched all of their invasions to China in WWII. The US debated attacking it, but the estimates were a bare minimum of 150,000 casualties. Taiwan is an intimidating fortress.

1 million Chinese will die before they capture Taiwan.
If China could've, they would've already.
China is a paper tiger.
They didn't do shite to Pelosi.

And it will take the Taiwanese underground in China less than 24 hours to take out the Three Gorges Dam — scratch 4M Chinese and WuHan.
So maybe we should pull for an invasion.

It wouldn't surprise me if they could take Taiwan in 48 hours at least the heaviest part of the invasion. Why does everyone assume this will be a Normandy style beach / land invasion? China probably has millions of sleeper agents at the ports, airports and in sorts of places. Some key strategic air strikes to take out and keep Taiwan planes grounded. Chinese troops follow on cargo ships under heavy air protection and air transports.
