How do you solve the problem of inner city violence/ drug culture in the US?

This isn’t meant to be about race or politics. I’ve watched a few documentaries about drug violence and how early these kids are getting dragged into it. It’s absolutely horrifying and sad. Kids are 11 years old and sometimes younger moving weight, getting in gun fights, etc.
Public schools are terrible in these parts, teachers are just babysitters, bad kids make it impossible for the ones that want to learn to be able to do so. Most cops don’t give a frick, they’d rather write speeding tickets and hang out at a restaurant than police serious crime.
It obviously starts with the parents, but we are generationally so far gone that those people were parented by the same shite people. It’s obvious that throwing money at programs doesn’t work. The foster care system is just as bad, in many cases, as the parents from whom they’re taken.
The culture has to change for anything to get better, but I just don’t see how it does. It truly is terrible seeing children put in such shite situations and never stand a chance.

Imprison all the addicts in the middle of nowhere and force them to perform hard labor until they are either clean or dead. Once clean pay them for their labor so they haven a head start. No mercy for those who don’t make it.

Starts at home. Two parents who are actively involved in their children’s lives.

It’s gotta get a whole lot worse before it can get better.
You can’t change the culture. It would be too drastic and in today’s society, impossible.

What do you do with the millions of kids that will now have nowhere to go?

Agree, but this is too far down the rabbit hole to where you can just incentivize parents to stay together by tax credits. Throwing money like that won’t work. It’s the cool and noble thing to do for many of these people.

I think incentivizing the mother and father to stay together would be a great first step.

Don't be so damn naive as that's all it should be about.
To deny this fact means that you don't want a REAL answer/solution to your question.

You start by making the presence of a paternal figure a valued staple of every household.

It won't ever change until parents start taking responsibility for their kids and raising them in a wholesome two parent household that focuses on family and education.
No amount of money or police presence will fix the problem
That is the only way it gets fixed. It will take generations to fix it but that is the only way

You won’t fix the 2 parent system so stop trying. You have to have judges and DA’s actually handing down sentences and not a slap on the wrist. Rehabilitate while serving time. It hasn’t worked because they haven’t really tried. Some have come out being a better person and better for society. More needs to be done though in order to have a more civilized society.

It starts at home with the parents. Society has to stop glorifying street life. The government needs to get their drugs off the streets. I know this isn’t intended to be about race, & inner city black males are blamed a lot for this, but most of the guys living in the multi million $$$$ mansions are not black.

Well, yes, I was just attempting to stop the conversation from immediately diverging into “all republicans and systems are racist” and “it’s just because democrats control cities”

White flight the frick away. That's the only solution. You can't change those animals.

One way to lift the floor of any society is to give women control over if/how many children they have. But with the new abortion laws in many states(and attacks on contraception in many cases, look up Florida and IUDs), we are going in the wrong direction regarding this.

LBJ trashed the black family with welfare favoring a single parent home. Until that is undone, which it will never be, nothing will get better, only worse. Every other solution is feel-good bullshite.

It doesn't help when you have Democrats and progressives trying to destroy the family unit. Yes, this is about politics.

Abortion and contraception have been legal since the seventies, and virtually free for a long time, while the whole time the problem has gotten worse, so your argument is weak.
