17th overall. Thinking of taking a rb like Harris in first. Keeping kupp in 3rd. I’m thinking Pittman will be a stud or should I take someone like Aaron Jones? What if Jones is gone?

You should wait to see how the draft unfolds and not go in predetermining who you're gonna pick.

Seems very early on him, can’t imagine he isn’t still there in the 3rd

Pittman will be a boom or bust player all year. They are going to run the ball alot and they would be stupid if they didn’t. In fact they are super effective running the ball in the redzone specifically which led to Pittman having only 6 tds last year even though he is a 6’4 receiver that specializes in 50/50 balls.. Campbell and Pierce both looking good in camp and Campbell is a freak athlete and has been productive when healthy. MPJ is being way overhyped. People want to compare him to how Ryan fed Julio but Julio was a way superior athlete and they rarely had an oline and running back comparable. Don’t take the bait and draft him in the second.

I don’t care how good you are at running, you can’t run it every play.

Hard to say without knowing who else is being kept. I have him in the 11-12 range among WR, so could be worth it if a bunch of normal 1st/2nd rounders are being kept and your settings favor WR depth.

They will pass but the upside is capped and are very effective running the ball in the redzone which limits pittman’s scoring opportunity. I had him last year and he was a frustrating play especially in games were the colts had the lead and controlled the clock/pace. They are not suddenly going to throw the ball 40 times a game just bc of Ryan

He was a second year wideout with Wentz as the QB.

From 2008-2020 Ryan has produced a top 10 wr who averaged 156 targets per game. Ryan feeds his top guy.

Julio is 6’3” 220lbs and Pittman is 6’4” 220lbs

-Pittman was 14th in the league in targets last season. Only caught 68% of them (see Wentz accuracy)

-only 5 teams threw less than the Colts

- Wentz was 29th in the league in the accuracy metrics (Ryan top 15 minimum last 4 years)

- pierce and Campbell are not threats to pittman’s success

- having Taylor only helps Pittman

- Pittman saw a healthy 25 targets inside the 20. Just happen that he only caught 47% of them (Wentz)

Trust the target share, trust the improved accuracy, trust the volume of routes ran, trust the win rate vs DBs, trust the positive RZ regression success

Pittman’s floor is a mid WR2, and his upside is top 5 WR.

We saw it last year. He was WR17 in full PPR with a trash can throwing him the ball.

It’s your draft. Draft players for your team. Me personally I would not do it. It is you who has to make that choice. If you like a player and he is rated on your board as 17th overall player or WR5 or 6, go for it.

If you think Pittman is going to be a disappointment, so be it…but how does it make sense to call someone who has had success that is not predicated on catching TDs (which are highly variable by nature) a boom or bust player?

Ryan WR1 have averaged 161 Targets a year since 09. Ain’t even about Julio

We saw roddy white have a 5 year stretch of averaging 1300 yards

Harry Douglas went 85/1067/2 on 132 targets as their WR1 in 2013. Harry Douglas!

Ridley 90/1374/9 on 143

Even Russel Gage was WR16 over the last 9 games last year as their 1

I have 1st pick in a 14 man .5 PPR

Thinking of taking him on the 2/3 turn. I’m going to have a decision to make between Pittman, Allen, Higgins and brown its looking like from all the mocks. As boring of a player as he is I’m kinda leaning Allen, he’s the safest bet

Pittman will be a mid to early second-round pick next year.
