So I enaged the hyper woke movie/TV board concerning the Rings Of Power

I pose a simple question none answer, they can only downvote and cry.
If race isn't important then why change non POC characters to POC characters (because of course it matters)
And by the way I think every single relationship on the show is an interracial relationship, and when pointed out they say "why do care! Why does it bother you!"
Why did Tolkiens world bother them so much and they cared enough to change it. It was fine as it was, it is a white mythical fantasy based on nordic/Germania mythology.

Change one character in Wakanda to white, and the tune will rapidly change. It doesn't really matter. From what I've gathered, Amazon's take on middle earth is poorly written, acted and the dialogue is childish at best.
Just a word to the wise... if your values don't align with this current time of the world, don't bother with their adaptations of things you love. They NEED to change them to fit their worldview. Sometimes it's trivial, but it's always there.

I've made that point many times there as well.
If these changes are so unimportant and it's silly that traditionalists get angry about them, why make them?
It's a rhetorical tactic and nothing more. Of COURSE it's important to the activists that are altering canon to include actors and characters into stories they don't belong. They never stop talking about how important it is. The actress playing the beardless black dwarf (hahaha) literally CAN NOT stop telling every6one how important it is that Tolkien is getting fixed for new generations.
So if that's the case, how can it not be important enough to Tolkien purists (or fans of any other source material) to complain when it's altered?
This was just another example of The Left infiltrating a popular IP and basterdizing it for their own gain. they could have easily created some new fantasy bullshite with all of these things, but it would not have come with the built in name recognition that LOTR has. And that's the craziest part! Had they stuck to canon they would have had tremendous fans in Tolkien fans lauding how great it was and they'd have had normies how will watch anything too. Instead, like with all these things, they decided to try and appease Twitter activists and by doing so piss off Tolkien fans, which make Star Wars/star Trek fans look like normies. They're NEVER EVER going to accept any of this shite. So they pissed off the very fans that made this IP valuable in order to cater to Twitter activists.

That's the thing...I just want source material to remain as written. If that means keeping Wakanda all black, then so be it because to do otherwise would look weird. If they started plopping random white dudes or Mexican women in the crowd as if they were native to Wakanda I'd be pissed. But the flip side has to be true too. As much as I like Idris Elba it made ZERO sense to have him cast as Heimdall.
Because Heimdall was based on Norse mythology and looks like this.
You don't fix "White Washing" of characters in the past by "Black Washing" characters today. Cast as the source demands and that's it. And if that means when adapting source that almost entirely white, then stick to that. Blame the creators for creating it that way, but don't alter it...it's not yours to mess with.

"Interracial" happened in Tolkien lore, though not as the woke crowd describes interracial.
Aragorn's bloodline is the Dúnadan. It was formed when the Elven great-great-great grand-uncle (iirc) of Elrond took a mortal wife, human, and sired halfbreed offspring that inherited unnaturally long life from their immortal elven blood. They were still afflicted by mortality, but their aging greatly slowed. Thankfully Tolkien wasn't all Game-of-Thronesy with the incest and shite.
...but that said, it did actually mean that Aragorn and Arwen were in fact distant cousins.
As far as the RoP thing goes, it was bound to be at least noticeably woke the moment they announced it. I haven't watched it and I don't know if I will. Some of my other Tolkien buff friends are going to report whether it's worth it or not. As long as they don't have buttfricking hobbits and dwarves, it might be tolerable.
Funny how far woke culture has come in such a short time, though. When the LotR movies came out, they used a predominantly white cast. The POC that were cast mainly were voice actors or native Polynesians who played Uruk-Hai. The trilogy won so many awards that it's legendary, in spite of the plot deviations and overall darker theme than the books... and no one cared. Nobody cared about that BS. It was good actors, good movies based on phenomenal books, and an inspiring story of the overwhelming struggle between good and evil, when evil holds all the cards yet good finds a way to prevail. But now those movies "aren't diverse enough"? FML.

This is just another example of the fatal flaw behind any of the 'woke' issues. The way they interpret any situation depends entires on the outcome needed to advance their issue of the day/hour/moment.
