Question in the topic title. I don't recall the weaponization of the justice department ever being used like this before, and although Trump never really did go after Hillary once elected, the threats broke them and they are going to keep coming after him until the day he dies.

Lawfare strains his ability to govern and build alliances. It depletes resources and frightens away potential staffers. It gives them license to steal, via subpoenas and warrants, vital campaign and tactical information from the opposition.
The difference today is the media will not only excuse this behavior away, they will actively suppress the debate and gaslight the public of behalf of the authoritarians. Then they are free to frick with elections, engage in endless wars, co-opt giant swaths of the economy, patronize giant corporations, and enrich their families - all at the expense of American prosperity.

No, this is because Hillary lost in 2016 and Trump, upon taking office, did more in 4 years than the last 30 years of presidents.
They were close enough to taste the full control over everything and Trump became the turd in the punch bowl for them. And they know he has popular support.

No. DJT represents a giant shift towards smaller government that is "By the people and for the People."
Dems DO NOT WANT THIS! They want government for their own personal gain. Think about it. Most government jobs pay really well for doing NOTHING.
