A few examples I don't quite understand why they haven't been attempted

1) Why do red states provide any services at all to illegal immigrants? The federal government can't force states to provide state services like education or medical care

2) Why don't red states require citizen or green card status to work in their state. Basically deny all ability to be employed in their state

3) Why don't red states arrest and ship illegals out of the country, or at minimum to blue cities in blue states with sanctuary status.

4) Why doesn't Texas and Arizona simply seal up their border themselves? They can use federal funding they receive and divert that to sealing the border

5) Red states should heavily penalize businesses who hire illegals instead of actual Americans. Make it so costly or painful that they don't bother with it.

Shhhh you’re not supposed to think for yourself. Just listen to them. It’s our only options.

Then those governors couldn’t have photo opps making them look like the good guys. And, the Chamber of Commerce wouldn’t be too happy either.

Because they haven’t elected Kari Lake just yet. She’s planning to send troops.

My hope is she inspires flaky Abbott to actually do something about it. But I'm not holding my breath.

If we let the illegal immigrants all flood into the US we may could just slip out the back door occupy an empty Mexico.

Mexicans finally become US citizens after years of trying and it's nothing but a bunch of trannies trying to feed them bugs

Not saying this would answer all of your questions, but probably most of them:

Arizona vs. United States (Wikipedia)

OK fine. However I would still do it and make them enforce their edict.

But even without that. Why can't they simply deny them of services and employment status?

If blue states really wanted the immigrants they could rent 100s of charter busses and pick up all those immigrants at the border themselves

Exactly, but that’s not the whole story. Rank and file republican voters like to have cheap labor and cheap goods.

Allow them to vote, register them all as republicans, and fill out ballots (harvest) for them like Dems do in old folks homes and inner cities. Dems would build a wall next week.

Your suggestions lack depth.

For starters, hospitals with ERs must treat patients. So you are wrong about the forced medical care.

Secondly have you not been reading the reports of red states busing and fly illegals to sanctuary cities?

So yeah, your analysis is off.

Hell we have a poliboarder paying coyotes to get them here and bragging about it. If so called conservatives won’t even hold the line we’ll never solve the problem.

Starting to fine employers something ridiculously prohibitive like $500k/illegal,and that GOP penchant for "cheap" labor would dry up in a moment.

No shite

This board just eats up GOPe talking points then begs for funds from McConnell when their candidate does or barely wins.

Not to mention you can't critisize trump or say anything bad about Putin without being downvoted.

Also you can't critique Q at all otherwise you are called an alphabet sympethsizer.

This board has turned into an echo chamber

Well for instance Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act states that a hospital can’t deny emergency care to anyone.

The SCOTUS ruling Plyler vs Doe held that states can’t deny a basic education to anyone. There is other federal law that prevents schools from even asking about immigration status.

I would guess the commerce clause of the constitution would prevent a state from deciding who can and can’t work in the state. Even if they could, businesses would find ways to hire people under the radar just like they do currently for federal law.

Also, even though a person may be here illegally, the bill of rights still applies to them. Since it’s been held that enforcement of immigration is solely up to the feds, a state can’t ask for proof of citizenship. They would be violating a persons 1st amendment rights if they did. Only a CBP officer can ask that, if they have reasonable suspicion to believe a person is here illegally.
