"Strange" American flag at last night's Trump rally

This is a picture of it.
It looks like a quilt with little black stars on it. I noticed it at the end of the rally and just can't figure why such an odd-looking flag would be featured, like it was. It's not like it is some flag on the side, or anything. It features prominently as he departs.

It's a flag with embroidered starts and the fabric bends are showing in the light. It's not a cheep made in China flag.
