He’s back and he’s serious

Elon Musk sent a letter proposing to complete his original $44B takeover deal for Twitter as reported by Bloomberg.
Musk later confirmed that he had sent a letter reigniting the potential takeover.
Shares of TWTR, which were halted for a period during the middle of the day, eventually closed at $52.
Musk's deal to acquire Twitter is valued at $54.20 per share.

So nows he is good with over paying? I am guessing his court case wasn't looking good

The judge is a hardass and in general the Delaware court overwhelmingly rules to enforce deals as agreed upon.

But according to Elon's letter to Twitter that was filed with the SEC today, the deal is still contingent on the court case being dropped, which Twitter won't do until the deal is in the bag, and on Elon getting his debt financing. If Elon can't raise the cash in the way he'd like, it could still go to trial and the court could force him to sell Tesla stock to pay for the deal.

Rumor making the rounds is he was listening to The Rolling Stones “Some Girls” last night at 4:20AM. When he heard Keith Richards belt out I'm gonna walk before they make me run… he knew it was time to write that big check… on his own.

So I am assuming he couldn't find the evidence needed to prove it is mostly just bots and ran by the CIA?

Twitter may have a ton of bots but Elon's problem is that the core issue is monetizable users, not total users.

Twitter has given themselves leeway in the wording of their SEC filings on the matter and has provided their data streams to customers so they can see the amount of monetizable users and their customers have kept buying ads.

Elon's probably in good with the CIA considering the work SpaceX has done launching spy sats.

He's not all that worried about monetization .... just like Dorsey wasn't worried about it. You don't need to worry so much when the federal government is subsidizing your platform and providing an ultra-competitive level of compute power to leverage you business.

We already know the infrastructure of Twitter’s operational database is tied into portals with the Dept of Homeland security (fact) , and now Musk wants to use that central infrastructure to create an all-inclusive “everything app”? This according to his SEC filing.

The bigger risk to the surveillance state is discovery that Twitter and the U.S. intelligence community are in a public-private partnership. The Dept of Homeland Security has access by design, not flaw.
