I loved mistborn trilogy and I’m making my way through the skyward series.
I am thoroughly enjoying his writing.
Can this board direct me to what I should add on my list next?
I know he’s gonna wrap up wheel of time so I plan on sprinkling that in over the next few years (on book 2 now).
I know everything but Skyward is part of the Cosmere so I’m just trying to decide where to start next.

Here is the release date order he has, honestly seems pretty good to me.
Elantris
The Hope of Elantris – Short story
The Final Empire
The Well of Ascension
The Hero of Ages
Warbreaker
The Way of Kings
The Alloy of Law
The Eleventh Metal – Short story.
The Emperor’s Soul – Novella.
Shadows For Silence in the Forests of Hell – Novella
Words of Radiance
Sixth of the Dusk – Novella
Allomancer Jak and the Pits of Eltania – Short story.
Shadows of Self
The Bands of Mourning
Mistborn: Secret History – Novella.
White Sand Vol. 1
Edgedancer – Novella
Arcanum Unbounded – Collects all the short stories and novellas.
Oathbringer
White Sand Vol. 2
White Sand Vol. 3
Dawnshard – Novella
Rhythm of War
The Lost Metal
I’ve never read the white sand graphic novels, so can’t comment on those but I liked everything else.
He has already finished the wheel of time as well FYI

This list is spot on. Might do era 2 Mistborn before any of stormlight but that’s just me. Ps Sando only did last 3 WoT books. His first WoT book, book 12 might be the best of them.

WOT is complete. Sanderson already finished the last three books, so I recommend finishing that series.
I just finished the four Stormlight books he’s released so far. I like it. But it’s not complete of course, unlike WOT.

Thanks! Did not realize WOT was done.

Skyward is not Cosmere.
Cosmere:
Mistborn Era 1 and 2
Elantris
Warbreaker
The Stormlight Archives (this being the "main" Cosmere series)
There's a few novellas in there as well.
Since you like Mistborn trilogy, the obvious next read would be Mistborn Era 2 aka Wax and Wayne, of which the 4th and final book comes out in like two weeks.
I honestly prefer it to Era 1.
Then do Elantris and Warbreaker, and then do Stormlight Archives.

Right. That was what I was trying to say.
Looks like I’m moving on to mistborn era 2! Thank you!

First book in era 2 is The Alloy of Law.
There is another side book called Mistborn: Secret History.
DO NOT read this until after you have read the 3rd book in Era 2, Bands of Mourning.

To catch all or most all of the novellas you can pickup Arcanum Unbounded. Fills in a lot of parts to stories in between books, has some back story on other characters etc.
Secret history is probably my favorite novella as well, just an interesting read

And predictably, Sanderson did a phenomenal job with WOT. The last battle alone takes up the entire final book and it’s masterful. He nailed it.

The Wax and Wayne trilogy. I liked it more than Mistborn.

Yeah, this is his best work definitely read it next if you liked Mistborn.
Then I'd suggest Warbreaker.
If you are looking for non-cosmere stuff that's not WOT, his Reckoners trilogy is quite good.

I suggest reading all of the current main Cosmere novels before starting Stormlight Archives. Stormlight seems like the convergence point of the entire Cosmere.

Yeah, I didn't do this, and I feel like I missed a lot.

I didn't either because I a lot of them weren't written yet when I started Way of Kings.
I didn't read Warbreaker until after I read book 4 and it filled in some gaps for me.

I will say his novels are written in a way that are enjoyed in that world alone, but you do get extra enjoyment from picking on bits of other series being woven into the overall cosmere story.
This obviously become more direct in some of the more recent novels.

“Warbreaker” may sneakily be my favorite book by him.

I really, really liked his novella, The Emperor's Soul.

I just finished secret history.
It redeemed Kelsier a lot for me. He grew a lot in that short time. At the end of Mistborn I was pretty sour on him as a character.
