I just looked at the Rivals rankings for Texas Tech in the last 4 years and I was surprised to see that they have not finished with a top 35 class in each of the past 4 years.

Looking at Mike Leach's exciting type of offense, one would think it would he could sign several great athletes at skill position.

I'm sure the win over Texas will help bring attention to the Tech program, as this was finally the national exposure that Texas Tech has been craving.

I know the town of Lubbock isn't the most exciting, but still, if you were an offensive player, wouldn't you at least give it a look?

Isn't that what Michael Crabtree did? What was he rated coming out?

Funny thing is, with their shitty recruiting, they still have a better QB than we do.

I understand that Lubbock sucks, but still, with all of the D1 talent in the state, they could convince more kids to come.

Crabtree and Harrell were both 4 stars, but other than that, I don't think they signed more than a couple of 3 stars each class.

That might change with their win last night. Or Mike Leach may have already hatched his plans to leave for any number of open jobs at the end of the season.

They have never been able to get over the "hump." Last night may have helped...

Because Lubbock has nothing to offer.

I could see WRs and QBs flocking there. I guess they don't want to be labeled "system QBs" though.

I keep telling LS he would be a good fit at TT. The defense has to play pass first and that would create seperation between the defense and him.

I don't think many people on this board will like hearing you say that!

As I said, some people would not like you boosting TT

BTBAT has consistently given us quality information on Lache. He personally knows him very well and only wants the best for Lache. You cannot hate him for only trying to show LS all the possibilities for him.

In the end....

Hope he comes to

I just tell him what I think is true about him in that offense. TT would put him out in space where his speed and vision will be most utilized. (spelling could be off, I'm hunting right now)

What other team could offer more than that?

if you want to throw him into a system that doesn't produce NFL talent, then tell him to go there.

we'll see how prepared he is once the NFL comes calling, if he would even get a shot coming out of there. No telling.

great college offensive system..doesnt bode well for NFL prospectus.

In all honesty, LS will have the chance to succeed no matter where he goes to play.

He wouldn't get to "run" the ball nearly as much at TT, but he would get more experience catching the ball out of the backfield.

TT would be a good system for him to possibly put up big numbers, but I don't know how well it would prepare him for the next level.

Schools that come to mind that would use LS well...LSU, TT, OU, Oregon, UF, etc. The list goes on and on.

He could go to a small, on the rise place like Minnesota with a history of running the ball and get to touch the ball more times than any of the top teams can give it to him.

It is all what LS wants; he can be a big fish in a small pond or he can earn his way in a big pond.
